The reason why the computer keyboard can't be used suddenly is probably caused by the following points. Let's have a look.
1、 The number keypad on the keyboard is out of order
This is the lowest mistake that many novice friends often make. Generally, it is the desktop keyboard that causes the key failure of the numeric keypad (0123456789). Most of the reasons are that you turn off the numeric keypad. You can see if the NumLock key is on. There is a numeric keypad light on it. Press the light on the NumLock key to turn on the numeric keypad.
There are also some novice notebook friends who often ask why some of the letters on the right side of my notebook keyboard are actually numbers rather than letters, which is very confusing. In fact, this is due to the combination of notebook number keys and letter keys. When the number keyboard is turned on, some letter keys on the right will be arranged as number keys, mainly because the notebook keyboard is relatively small, and the manufacturer has set the intelligent switching function.
If only the keypad is locked, press and hold the FN + numlk key at the same time to switch, and vice versa. What's more, novice friends often don't know what's wrong. The letters are all capital letters. This is because the function of capital letters key is turned on. To cancel, just press' caps lock 'to switch to normal.
2、 Some keys on the keyboard fail
The keyboard causes some keys of the keyboard to fail. In most cases, the circuit board inside the computer keyboard fails. This phenomenon is generally due to dirt on the circuit board or conductive plastic, which makes it impossible to connect the two normally. Other factors may also be possible, such as: the keyboard plug is damaged, there is a problem with the circuit, the main board is damaged, the CPU is not working properly, etc., but not the main reason.
1. Open the keyboard. When opening the keyboard, make sure that the button face (that is, the side we operate) is down and the circuit board is up. Otherwise, the conductive plastic on each button will fall off one after another, causing trouble for your repair.
2. Turn over the circuit board, the circuit board is generally made of soft plastic film, which is engraved with key line arrangement. Use alcohol cotton with a concentration of more than 97% (75% of medical alcohol cotton is OK, because I have used it, but it is better to use high concentration alcohol cotton) to gently scrub the circuit board twice. Take care of the circuit of the key failure part several times.
3. Check the conductive plastic of the button failure part. If there is a large amount of dirt on the area, use alcohol to scrub. If the conductive plastic is damaged, the author suggests that you can change the conductive plastic on the infrequent keys to the damaged part. Although this kind of action can't let the keyboard play all the functions, it can at least extend the life of the commonly used keys.
4. Clean the dirt in the corner of the keyboard. The tool can be used as a brush or a small brush, but the action should be gentle.
5. Check whether the welding module has faulty welding or desoldering. If you can use electric soldering iron, you can carry out repair welding. Of course, this step is only applicable to friends who can use electric soldering iron and friends who can't, please skip this step.
6. Install the keyboard. One thing to note here is that we must wait for the alcohol to volatilize completely before proceeding.
3、 Other special circumstances
Keyboard 1. Modify the drive of keyboard. Through "my computer" to open the system properties, select the hardware tag: open the device manager, we found that the default keyboard driver under the Chinese Windows XP operating system is "standard 101 / 102 key or Microsoft natural PS / 2 keyboard".
2. Right click to select the update driver, and the hardware update wizard will appear: select Install from list or specified location (Advanced), click next, and select don't search. I want to choose the driver to install myself. '
3. Click 'next' to go to the 'select device drivers to install for this hardware' page and uncheck 'show compatible hardware'. Select 'Japanese PS / 2 keyboard (106 / 109 key) in the' standard keyboard model 'column, click' next 'to pop up' update driver warning ', and click' yes'. 'confirm device installation' window continue with 'yes'.
4. Complete the hardware update wizard. Restart the computer. Modify the registry: click the start menu, click Run, enter regedit, open the registry, and enter HKEY LOCAL machine \ \ system \ \ controlset001 \ \ control \ \ keyboard layouts. There are many subkeys in the registry. Through observation, I find that all the subkeys ending in '0804' are simplified Chinese input methods. Open 'e00e0804', you can see that there is a 'layout file' sub item in the right sub item. Double click to open the item, change 'kbdus. DLL' in 'numerical data' to 'kbdjpn. DLL', and 'OK'. By analogy, you can change 'layout file' to 'kbdjpn. DLL' in all subitems ending in '0804', and select them according to your common input method. Then restart the computer.
