What is the pass rate of the legal examination
The national judicial examination is a legal professional certificate examination established by the Ministry of justice of the people's Republic of China in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law of the people's Republic of China, the law of the people's Republic of China on prosecutors, the law of the people's Republic of China on lawyers, the Notarization Law of the people's Republic of China and the measures for the implementation of the national judicial examination. Being a lawyer, judge, prosecutor and notary must pass the national judicial examination. The annual passing rate of the national judicial examination is generally about 10% of the number of candidates in the country.
The main test contents include: theoretical law, applied law, current legal provisions, legal practice and legal professional ethics. The national judicial examination adopts the unified national proposition and evaluation, and the results are published by the National Judicial Examination Office of the Ministry of justice of the people's Republic of China. The results of the national judicial examination are valid once. The Ministry of justice of the people's Republic of China shall issue relevant certificates to those who have passed the national judicial examination and may engage in the work of lawyers, judges, prosecutors and notaries.
From 2018, the national judicial examination will be changed to the national legal professional qualification examination. Not only lawyers, judges, prosecutors and notaries need to pass the examination, but also the staff engaged in the examination of administrative penalty decisions, administrative reconsideration and administrative awards, as well as legal advisers and legal arbitrators need to take part in and pass the examination.
Is the passing rate of 2018 law test the same as before
In accordance with the relevant policies and regulations, we will continue to implement the policy of relaxing the qualified score line in hard, remote and ethnic minority areas. There are three grades of relaxed scores in the objective test, 140 in Tibet Autonomous Region, 150 in Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan and Gansu, 150 in Xinjiang, Liangshan, Nujiang and Linxia, and 160 in other regions.

The examinees who pass the objective examination shall log in the website of the Ministry of justice from 0:00 on September 27 to 24:00 on September 30, 2018 to confirm their participation in the subjective examination and pay the examination fee according to the regulations. In addition to the pilot areas, the paper and pencil test is adopted for the subjective test, and the examinees shall answer on the answer sheet. Five test areas, Suzhou City, Huangshan City, Chongqing City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, have implemented computerized test pilots. Candidates who choose to take part in the test in the pilot test area should answer on the computer.
