(1) Don't soak in water for a long time. The protective layer of silk is composed of sericin, silk fibroin and minerals. Therefore, silk products should not be washed frequently. In particular, they should not be soaked in hot water and soapy water, and they should not be rubbed or twisted to avoid pilling and loss of luster.

(2) The silk is very afraid of heat, and the strength and tensile force of the silk will decrease obviously under high temperature. After washing, hang in a cool place to dry to avoid embrittlement.

(3) Alkali and strong acid have destructive effects on silk. Please use special washing products for washing. Do not use alkaline detergent, soap, washing powder or other detergents. (6) silk products should not be perfumed with perfume, fresheners, deodorants and so on. Do not use camphor pills in storage, because this may cause a silk scarf to absorb some kind of smell or discoloration. Silk scarves should be hung in the closet with a hanger instead of metal ones to prevent rust and other pollution. They should also be kept away from direct sunlight.

Treatment and maintenance of silk clothing yellowing

1、 Treatment of yellowing

1. White silk clothes are easy to turn yellow. You can use wax gourd slices to scrub on the stains (the juice of wax gourd can remove the yellow stains), and then rinse with water. If it is a large area of yellowing, you can put in a proper amount of fresh lemon juice, or you can wash away the yellow stains.

2. White silk clothes: soak the yellow silk clothes in clean rice washing water, change the water once a day, and the yellow will fade after three days. If there is yellow sweat, you can wash it off with wax gourd juice;

3. Shampoo instead of special silk detergent: pour a proper amount of shampoo into the clean water (the amount used is the same as silk detergent), put it into the silk clothes and rub them gently, then rinse them too clean, because there are a lot of protein in the hair and so are the silk fabrics!

Restoration and coloring of dark silk dress

Dark silk dress, after washing, add a little salt in warm water, and then wash it again (the printed silk fabric is mixed with cold water and salt), so as to maintain the brilliant luster of the fabric. Washing black silk clothes with discarded tea leaves can keep them black, bright and soft forever. For clothing made of silk fabric, the effect of dust removal is much better than that of brush when it is patted with soft cloth.

2、 Maintenance methods

When drying, put the opposite side of the clothes outwards and leave it in the shade to dry with water dripping. When the clothes are dried to 70-80%, iron or shake them flat. When drying, the moisture content should be about 10%. Take it off and iron it with 100 cloths, which can keep the luster unchanged and wear well. If it is not ironed properly, it can be put into the plastic bag when 70% of the clothes are dry, and it can be flattened by hand; it can also be put into the plastic bag after being dried, folded and flattened, sealed and put into the freezer for strong freezing, which can achieve the effect of no ironing.

First of all, cotton and silk clothes can't be mixed together, or they will change color. In addition, many people are used to thinking that camphor balls should be used to store clothes. In fact, this understanding is biased. When storing clothes, try not to use camphor balls, because camphor balls are not only harmful to human body, but also make the gold and silver silk on clothes lose luster. Deodorizing essential oils, such as tea tree, lavender and Eucalyptus essential oils, can be used for clothing storage in conditional families. Do not apply essential oil directly on clothes. You can apply it on paper towels or cotton balls, and then put the cotton balls in the pockets of clothes, which can prevent insects and moths. When wearing, there is a light fragrance on clothes.

How to maintain silk clothes is not so complicated for people who are proficient in it, but for beginners, it may feel more complicated. In order to ensure the wearing experience and appearance of clothing, it is better to know more about maintenance knowledge before washing clothes, so as to avoid damage to clothing.
