What should I do when the baby is due? How to postpone the due date?

When it comes to childbirth, many expectant mothers are very nervous, but they have reached the expected delivery date. What can we do if the baby still hasn't moved? What measures can we take at this time to let the baby come out ahead of time? Moms should never be too nervous, it's normal to delay or advance for several days, just follow the natural law to mature.

1、 The reason why the baby hasn't been born

The fetal survival time in the uterus is 280 days. Beyond this time, the uterus will not continue to grow up, the placenta will gradually tend to aging, the amniotic membrane secretion ability will gradually weaken, and the amniotic fluid will gradually reduce, but the fetus will continue to grow up. Therefore, a time limit has been defined in medicine, which is 2 weeks overdue pregnancy.

After the 21st century, people's living conditions are superior, the only child's pampering, the development of science and technology, and the increase of infertility, which make the society take care of the pregnant women more, the family take care of the pregnant women especially, the pregnant women have great psychological pressure and worry about the outcome of pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant women are often less active after pregnancy, let alone exercise. Office workers sit in front of computers and have little activity all day. Those who are full-time at home often sit in front of computers and TVs to kill time. Human life lies in movement. The fetus moves passively with the mother's activities in the amniotic fluid wrapped uterine cavity. The fetus itself also needs to move hands and feet in the uterus, turn over and straighten, and burp, which is conducive to the correction of fetal position in the uterus. Amniotic fluid flows continuously from the fetal skin, playing a touch like role, and promoting the sound development of the fetal nervous system. The exercise of pregnant women can increase the elasticity of muscles and the toughness of joint ligaments.

The continuous movement makes the mother and the fetus in a positive state. When the fetus is mature, the fetus will secrete a hormone into the mother's blood, urge the mother's pituitary gland to secrete oxytocin, start the uterine contraction and labor. This is what we often call "ripeness". After childbirth, the fetus actively looks for the appropriate meridian in the pelvis of the mother to rush outward; the mother is calm after childbirth. With the progress of the labor process, the fetus gradually drops under the promotion of the contraction of the polarity and symmetry of the uterus and the contraction of the abdominal muscles. When the fetal head reaches the pelvic floor, the contraction of the pelvic floor muscles promotes the smooth delivery of the fetus.

When the activity of pregnant women is reduced, the fetus lacks the power of passive movement given by the mother, so the fetus has poor initiative and cannot actively secrete hormones to the mother. Mother lack of exercise, muscle lack of flexibility, a small amount of oxytocin is not enough to start the contractions, so it is late to labor and cause overdue pregnancy.

2、 What should I do when the due date is up?

When there is no sign of movable property beyond the expected date, we should do the following:

1. Check the due date:

To determine the overdue pregnancy, first of all, it is necessary to determine whether the pre delivery period is reliable, some people have irregular menstruation, some people can not remember the last menstruation time, etc., and must recheck the pre delivery period with the help of the doctor.

Methods of checking the expected date of production:

Exact date of last menstruation

When and how do you know you are pregnant after your last menstruation

The earliest time of early pregnancy reaction (nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness and headache, breast swelling and pain, emotional vulnerability, etc.)

Gestational weeks indicated by the first B-ultrasound

Time of first fetal movement

According to the above examination and self feeling, we can calculate the expected delivery time accurately, and determine whether the pregnancy is overdue according to this time.

It is not allowed to determine whether it is overdue according to the B-ultrasound at the end of pregnancy, because the birth weight of the fetus is different in size, 8-jin, 5-jin, 8-jin is considered to be full term, 5-jin is considered to be less than time, and it will be a mistake.

2. Self monitoring:

The best way is to observe fetal movement. The so-called observation of fetal movement is often pay attention to whether the fetus is active, whether the activity is the same as usual. If the fetal movement is reduced or apparently immobile, go to the hospital immediately to see a doctor. Because fetal movement has no rules to follow, so don't frighten yourself. The cycle of fetal waking up is 40 minutes. Generally, fetal movement will appear after an hour or so. If you don't move, you can touch your abdomen and pat it gently, or pat your hands and observe.

3. Regular perinatal care:

The rule of prenatal examination during pregnancy is about once a month 27 weeks ago, mainly to screen for fetal malformations. 27-36 weeks generally 2-3 weeks to check, mainly to understand the health status of the fetus and the mother, such as whether the mother has gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, dietary nutrition, psychological mood, etc.; for the fetus, mainly to understand whether the size of the fetus is consistent with the gestational week, how much amniotic fluid, placental function, umbilical cord winding, whether the fetus has intrauterine hypoxia, etc. 36-40 weeks is generally checked once a week, to understand the fetal development status in the uterus, whether the fetal position is normal, to determine which mode of delivery is the safest for the mother and baby, and to guide the delivery mode in time.

After the pre delivery period, it is necessary to come to the hospital for a delivery inspection every three days. During the delivery inspection, the doctor should know the size of the fetus, the position of the fetal head falling, the amount of amniotic fluid and the fetal movement through four-step palpation.

When it is found that the amniotic fluid is reduced and the uterus is tightly packed with fetal body, it is necessary to know the amount of amniotic fluid through ultrasonic examination. Generally, it is suggested that the amniotic fluid index (Le; 5cm) indicates that the amniotic fluid is too little. If the amniotic fluid index (Le; 8cm) indicates that the amniotic fluid is less, it should be actively treated.

If the fetal head does not enter the basin, and the doctor presses the fundus and the fetal head is higher than the pubic arch, it means that the position of the fetal head is not good, and there is a crossing of the fetal head, which means that the fetal head cannot enter the basin, then it can no longer wait and should be actively handled.

Generally beyond the pre delivery period, the fetus grows up gradually, and the skull becomes hard. It is difficult to shape the skull during delivery.

During the labor examination, the doctor also found out how the fetus reacts in the uterus and whether it is lack of oxygen through fetal monitoring. If the fetal heart monitoring pattern is abnormal, such as the absence of small variation in the fetal heart baseline, the baseline is straight, sinusoidal, the baseline does not change in contractions and fetal movements, the fetal tachycardia, the fetal bradycardia, etc., it indicates that the fetus is at a certain risk in the uterus, and it should also be actively dealt with and can no longer wait.

After the expiration of pregnancy, doctors will also require pregnant women to do B ultrasound, to understand the fetal size, cord blood flow ratio, fetal biophysical score, etc. to comprehensively assess the safety of the fetus in the uterus. When the ratio of umbilical blood flow & Ge; 3, it indicates that there is hypoxia in the fetus. There are five biophysical scores of fetus, each of which has two scores: fetal heart rate, fetal movement, amniotic fluid, respiration and muscle tension. If & le; 5 score indicates fetal distress in utero, it should be alert if it is lower than 7.

4. Timely admission:

Generally, the doctor will be admitted to the hospital and deal with it according to the situation of the pregnant woman's cervix when she has been pregnant for one week, that is to say, 41 weeks.

When the fetus has intrauterine distress, macrosomia and positive signs of fetal head across the stigma, the doctor will suggest that the cesarean section should be completed to ensure the health of the mother and baby.

If the fetus is normal but only expired, the doctor will speed up the delivery according to the cervical condition, promote the cervical maturity of the mother, and cause spontaneous uterine contraction and labor. There is no difference between this kind of labor process and natural labor process, and the process of labor process is the same. However, doctors will pay more attention to the observation of fetal tolerance to uterine contraction in the uterus, find out fetal abnormalities in time, and deal with them in time.

Due to the continuous growth of the expired fetus and the weakening of the mother's placental function, the fetus will consume its own fat. Therefore, there are many raised head lines in the expired fetus, like a little old man, whose immune resistance is not as strong as that of a full-term baby.

Therefore, in order to prevent pregnancy from expiring, pregnant women must live a normal life. Pregnancy is not a disease, but a normal physiological process. Their attitude should be positive, not coquettish, and their mentality should be peaceful. They should not be afraid of wolves before and tigers after. They should actively participate in labor and exercise properly to avoid the occurrence of pregnancy.

When there is no feeling near the pre delivery period, pregnant women can massage the nipple by themselves. This kind of massage will make the pituitary gland secrete oxytocin to cause the contraction of the uterus. Generally, 20 minutes in the first afternoon and 20 minutes in the afternoon, through the stimulation of the nipple, it will promote the early delivery.
