CCTV investigates organic vegetables, organic vegetables, hidden greasiness, is it really organic?

When we buy vegetables in the supermarket, we often see three different types of vegetables, which have different certification marks: pollution-free food, green food and organic food. These three signs represent different environmental protection requirements of vegetables. Organic vegetables are the most expensive, but CCTV recently revealed that organic vegetables are not really organic. Let's go with Xiaobian.

The pollution-free food should conform to the national basic standards for entering the market, while the green food and organic food should not only conform to the national standards, but also have their own higher industry recognition standards. In other words, the standard of green food is higher than that of pollution-free food, while the standard of organic food is higher. It is not only forbidden to use chemical fertilizers and pesticides in the whole process, but also has strict requirements for seeds, soil, water quality and atmosphere. Therefore, in people's mind, organic is the synonym of quality of life and environmental friendliness, which means more natural, environmental protection, health and safety. But are these organic foods really organic?

In a well-known national supermarket chain reporter saw that there are two specifications of vegetables sold here, one is the so-called ordinary vegetables in bulk, the other is the so-called boutique vegetables in box on the cold storage shelf.

One kilogram of cucumbers in bulk is 2.98 yuan, and one kilogram of organic cucumbers in box is 66.98 yuan; one bag of ordinary baby vegetables is 4.5 yuan, and one box of organic baby vegetables is 23.5 yuan. Here, the price of organic vegetables is generally five or six times or even more than ten times higher than that of bulk ordinary vegetables.

Despite the high price, there are not many people who choose organic food.

The reporter noted that the words "organic vegetables" were written on the top of a row of shelves, but it is understood that not all the vegetables on the shelves are organic vegetables, some are pollution-free vegetables.

The salesperson said that the word "organic vegetables" is organic vegetables, while for the same brand, if there is no such word on the box, it is not. On the full shelf, there are few real organic vegetables. If you don't look carefully, it's really easy to confuse.

The reporter saw that the name of the company was written on the box. Although the name of the company carries the word "organic" and the words "organic" on the package are very striking, they are not all organic vegetables. Organic vegetables are the ones with organic label, and those without organic label are not organic vegetables, but they are put together on the same shelf. The prices of the two vegetables are also similar, for example, organic carrot is 39.8 yuan per kilogram, non organic tomato is 36.98 yuan per kilogram, organic tomato is 58.8 yuan per kilogram, non organic tomato is 45.98 yuan per kilogram, neither is cheap. It's common in many supermarkets to mix organic vegetables with ordinary vegetables.

It is understood that the national standard for organic products clearly stipulates that a special sales area or display counter for organic products should be set up in the sales place and be separated from the sales area and counter for non organic products. The chaos we see in the supermarket is obviously a marketing routine that businesses use illegally. To this end, Zhu Yi, an associate professor of China Agricultural University, told reporters, "there are a lot of unorganized ones mixed with three or four organic ones. The purpose is to let consumers directly rush to that place as soon as they come, and generate a kind of thinking inertia; and there is a kind of intentional or unintentional inducement and suggestion that this one is organic, and this one is worth selling at such a high price. '

In fact, every organic food has an organic certification mark and an organic code on its package. This is the unique identification code given by the certification authority to organic products, which can be used for consumers to trace and inquire the specific production information of products. So, are these certified organic vegetables really organic? The reporter decided to trace the source of these vegetables by scanning the code.

Reporters bought a brand of carrots, celery, tomatoes and other varieties of organic vegetables, and then input their organic codes for inquiry. Tracing information shows that the specific origin of these vegetables is an organic certified planting base. In addition, the reporter called the organic certification body to verify the origin of these organic vegetables again. Customer service staff told reporters that the specific place of origin is' West of Zhongwu village, history of Longwan Tun, Shunyi, Beijing '. '

According to the information inquired, the reporter found the production base of these vegetables.

The billboard of the planting base says that the company was founded in 1994, which is a leading enterprise in the industry approved by the State Council and registered with the State Administration for Industry and commerce.

According to the requirements of variety, area and output for organic production certification, the information of organic certification certificate here shows that there are 23 kinds of vegetables that can be planted in this base, covering an area of 51.4 hectares, with an annual output limited to 610 tons.

So, where are the organic tomatoes, carrots, celery and other organic vegetables purchased in the supermarket? The reporter went into the vegetable shed here to check. Greenhouse staff told reporters that there are no carrots in the base; tomatoes and celery are not mature.

It is understood that there are 8 greenhouses where vegetables are grown at present. According to the investigation one by one, the reporter did not see the organic carrots, tomatoes and celery sold in the supermarket. The place of origin marked in the organic certification is clear, but there are no such vegetables here. Why does this enterprise do this? What is the real source of these vegetables?

In the course of the reporter's investigation, he found that a large number of chemical fertilizers were piled up in the cultivated land of the organic planting base.

According to national regulations, Organic Certified land is not allowed to use chemical fertilizer, but the staff here told reporters that the land is still using chemical fertilizer. Then, the reporter also made a new discovery in the organic vegetable planting shed: urea and compound fertilizer are hidden in each shed. In response, Zhu Yi, an associate professor, said that this is something that should not be found in organic planting areas, and that 'it is no longer in line with the norms of organic planting. '

The reporter took some found urea and soil for testing. After testing, Zhu Yi, an associate professor, told the reporter, "the urea taken back is tested in the laboratory, and it is indeed urea, not other things in the urea bag.". At the same time, it was found that the soil was suspected of pesticide residues.

According to the regulations, organic products are not allowed to be reprocessed, repackaged and separated outside the production and processing sites. But here, the reporter has not seen the organic vegetables purchased in the supermarket, nor seen where the vegetables produced here are packaged and processed.

The staff said that this place is in charge of planting, and then take it back to the head office for packaging.

According to the staff, at 10 o'clock in the night, the reporter came to the location of their head office, which is about 60 kilometers away from the planting base just now. At this time, the reporter saw that several workshops are nervously carrying out vegetable packaging. The staff here told them that they would pack tens of thousands of boxes a day and send them to supermarkets, and said, 'organic food is not only safe, but also selling point. Some people eat expensive food. '

According to reports, vegetables here will be sent to more than 40 well-known supermarket chains in Beijing for sale the next morning. Although the workers claimed that the vegetables they packed were organic vegetables produced in the local organic base of the company, the reporter did not see such a variety of mature vegetables when interviewing the organic planting base. During the interview and stay in this packaging workshop, the reporter did not see the process of their organic labeling. But the reporter still wanted to find out where the vegetables came from. At the packaging site, the reporter found the outer packaging bag with the name and contact information of each vegetable wholesaler written on it.

According to the telephone clues left by these vegetable wholesalers, the reporter conducted an investigation. The other side said that their vegetables come from many places, but they are ordinary vegetables. They need to be tested to prove that they can provide them. "The test proves that we don't need to worry too much about it. We can handle whatever you need for the test proves. The certificate of origin is the official seal of the market, which we fill in by ourselves. '

After the reporter's follow-up investigation, the vegetables sold in these supermarkets with organic label can't confirm where they come from, but it can be sure that they are not produced in the organic planting base shown on the certification code. Subsequently, the reporter will buy these vegetables with "organic standard" in the supermarket and send them to the authoritative testing agency for testing. The results show that there are many pesticide residues forbidden in organic production.

Compared with the general food, the production cost of organic food is much higher and the natural price is much higher. In order to protect the rights and interests of consumers, the state has strict regulations on the recognition of organic food. Selling non organic food as organic food, this kind of behavior of selling dog meat with sheep's head, although it can bring excess profits to the enterprise, it also greatly damages the interests of consumers and the reputation of organic food. China's organic standards clearly stipulate that chemical pesticides in organic food shall not be detected, and the detected enterprises shall not apply for organic certification within five years. Why are these 'organic' manufacturers so bold? When can organic standards have both 'gold content' and credibility?
