On March 29, 2015, the first batch of 122 citizens boarded Linyi, the 19th convoy of the Chinese Navy, to evacuate safely from the port of Aden, Yemen.
On March 30, 449 Chinese citizens took the 19th batch of frigate Weifang of the Chinese navy to leave the port of heteda, Yemen.
On April 6, the Chinese Navy's Linyi ship carried 83 Chinese and foreign nationals to evacuate. At the same time, the Chinese Navy's Weishan Lake ship assisted in the evacuation of nine Chinese and one Japanese citizens from Socotra island in the south of Yemen.
