Single lobe
Petals are 2-3 rounds, 10-15 pieces, wide and flat, stamens are 200-300, pistils are 4-6, male and pistil are normal in development and strong in fruiting ability. These flower types are represented by "Opium purple", "pomegranate red" and "Phoenix white".
Lotus type
Petals are 4-5 rounds, 20-25 pieces. Petals are wide, similar in shape and size, arranged clearly. Pistils develop normally and have strong seed setting ability. However, some varieties occasionally have petalization of stamens or pistil stigmas. Such flower types are represented by 'Lotus like', 'jinyunhong', 'yubanbai' and other varieties.
Crown type
The outer petals are 2-5 rounds, wide and flat. Most or all of the stamen petals are turned into fine and wrinkled petals. The petals are dense and towering, like a crown. The inner petals are irregularly arranged, with normal stamens or stamens in degeneration mixed between the petals, and anthers remained between the petals; the pistils degenerate or petalized, and occasionally have fruit. These flower types are represented by Lantian jade, Hu Hong, Yao Huang, shouxianhong, etc.
Hydrangea type
The stamens are fully petalized, the shape and size of the inner and outer petals are similar, crowded and bulging, and spherical; the pistils are basically or completely degenerated or petalized, and have no seed bearing ability. This kind of flower type is represented by "doulv", "lvxiangqiu", "xueyingzhaoxia", etc.
Chrysanthemum type
The petals are more than 6 rounds, the petals are similar in shape, arranged in order, arranged in clear layers, and gradually smaller from the outside to the inside, with occasional petalization, 5-11 pistils, growing or degenerated normally. Some varieties have petalization of stigma and poor knot strength, such flower types are represented by 'Rose Red', 'congzhongxiao', 'Yinhong qiaodui' and 'jinpaohong'.
Rose type
The petals are in many rounds, the petals gradually become smaller from the outside to the inside, the stamens part of the petals turn into normal petals, the pistils degenerate and become smaller or petalized, and the knot strength is poor. Gold ring type

Cinnamon type
The outer petals are 2-5 rounds, wide and tidy. Some stamen petals turn into long and thin petals. There are often traces of anthers or anthers left at the end of the petals. There are normal stamens mixed between the petals. The arrangement is irregular and sparse. The pistils are normal or slightly petalized, and they have knot strength.
