How to wear the most effective anti haze mask in winter?

Every winter, when the haze is the most serious in the north, the pungent smell in the air is really unacceptable. 11 provinces and cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan are covered by haze. If you want to go out, you can take appropriate protective measures such as wearing masks. But are you wearing the right mask? Is the anti haze mask really effective?

We should pay attention to these when choosing masks

The most important way to fit face is to buy from regular channels

When choosing a mask, first of all, consider the fitting degree of the mask and your face shape. The better the mask fits your face, the better the protective effect. When buying, we should choose regular e-commerce, drugstores, supermarkets and other businesses to avoid buying unqualified products.

In addition, when choosing masks, try to choose masks with nose clips. Because the nose is bulging, having a nose clip can solve the problem of nose air leakage very well. When selecting, we can't blindly believe in star effect or foreign brands. Some masks are not designed to prevent PM2.5 and can't have protective effect.

On November 1, the national standard GB / t32610-2016, the first national standard for civil protective masks, was officially implemented.

This standard specifies the protection effect and safety performance of fine particles (PM2.5). According to the standard, the protection level of the respirator is divided into four levels from low to high: Level D, level C, level B and level a, corresponding to different air quality conditions respectively. Class a corresponds to "serious pollution", which is used when the PM2.5 concentration reaches 500 μ g / m3; class D corresponds to "moderate pollution" and below, which is applicable to the situation where the PM2.5 concentration is less than or equal to 150 μ g / m3.

When selecting masks, the masks with corresponding protection level can be selected according to different air pollution levels. The "super grade" respirator has better protection performance, but it also has greater respiratory resistance. When inspiratory resistance is too large, people may have dizziness, chest tightness and other uncomfortable symptoms. The masks that claim to 'absorb' PM2.5 are mostly gimmicks

According to experts, at present, no mask is specially developed for anti haze, so "PM2.5 mask" does not exist. 'PM2.5 mask', it is only a general term for masks that can filter PM2.5.

For filtering mode, the mask that can filter PM2.5 needs a kind of filter screen, whose aperture is smaller than 2.5 μ m, to block PM2.5 particles outside. That is to say, what the mask plays is its physical filtering mechanism. It's unreasonable to say that some filter element used in the mask can absorb PM2.5 or eliminate PM2.5 by chemical means. Therefore, it's a gimmick to claim that "adsorb" or "eliminate" PM2.5 masks.

When wearing the mask at ordinary times, it must completely cover the nose, mouth and chin, and keep the mask and face close fitting. In addition, people with heart or respiratory system difficulties (such as asthma and emphysema), dizziness after wearing, dyspnea and skin sensitivity are not recommended to wear masks, which can reduce outdoor activities as much as possible; when riding or exercising, it is not suitable to wear masks with excessive respiratory resistance, so as to prevent poor breathing.

These misuses should be avoided

Not when it's time to wear it

Masks should be worn during the flu season, haze days, dusty days, sick days and when going to the hospital. In winter, it's better to wear masks for the elderly with low immunity and those with many diseases.

Prefer color masks

It is recommended that you refer to the 'protection index ranking': N95 and other masks with higher medical safety factor & gt; disposable medical masks & gt; white cotton masks & gt; fashionable masks with patterns.

Wear away

After wearing, the mask shall be folded first. When folding, the face close to the nose and mouth shall be folded inside, and then the mask shall be put into a clean bag, and finally put into the bag. Masks should be washed every day, put in the sun to dry, and put on the radiator will also breed bacteria Wear too long

Wear it for half an hour. Wear it as close to the skin as possible and change it every two days.

Other haze prevention methods

Don't wear contact lenses

Contact lens is easy to make cornea lack of oxygen, and in haze weather, because of low air pressure, it will make cornea lack of oxygen aggravating, dry eyes uncomfortable.

Wipes with bags

For skin sensitive people, bacteria and harmful substances adsorbed by particles in the atmosphere are easy to stick to the skin, causing allergic symptoms. You can clean it at any time when you go out.

Drink plenty of water

Drinking more water can keep the respiratory tract moist.

Try to breathe through your nose

It is found that the nose hair can block 95% of particles larger than 10 microns.
