At 0:47 a.m. the day before yesterday (29th), Deng Mou (from Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province), a 2016 male student from Yuetai Institute of technology, Dongguan Institute of technology, had an electric shock while bathing in a dormitory in two dormitories in Guancheng campus.
The students in the same dorm pulled Deng out of the restroom at 0:49 after turning off the power supply of the dorm, and then called 120 and 110.
An ambulance arrived at the scene to rescue Deng and sent him to Dongguan branch of traditional Chinese medicine hospital. At about 4 a.m., he was declared dead after invalid rescue by the hospital.
Deng was injured by Yu Dian when he was rescued. After he was sent to the hospital, he was observed to be OK.
At present, the police have launched further investigation on the cause of the accident, and the work of family appeasement and rehabilitation is proceeding in an orderly manner.
Precautions for using electric water heater in winter
1. The room temperature is relatively low. After the hot water flows out, a large amount of heat will be rapidly distributed to the air, reducing the heat of the water. 5. The service life of the electric water heater generally will not exceed 6 years. If it continues to be used beyond the service life, there will be potential safety hazards and it will be replaced in time.
