In this comparative test, a total of 51 milk tea samples were purchased from 27 milk tea shops in Shanghai, which basically covered the best-selling products of the mainstream on-the-spot milk tea brands in the market.

In the process of sample detection, through calculation, the total sugar content of a 470 ml nominal "human in tea" brand silk socks milk tea single cup is as much as 60 grams, equivalent to 13 pieces of sugar.

The average sugar content of each cup of milk tea sample is 33 grams, which is equivalent to adding about 7 pieces of sugar on average. Among them:

According to the Chinese dietary guidelines (2016), it is suggested that 'the daily intake of added sugar should not exceed 50g, and it is better to control it below 25g'. In other words, part of the milk tea in this comparative test, as long as one cup is drunk, has exceeded the amount of added sugar in the normal human body in one day.

Some milk tea has high caffeine content, so children and pregnant women should drink it carefully

During the interview, some consumers reported to reporters that they would have palpitations and insomnia after drinking milk tea. In this comparative experiment, not only 51 milk teas were found to have caffeine, but also the content was high, even beyond the expectation of experts.
