Let's have a look together!

Correct treatment for foreign body in eyes:

1. When the foreign body enters the eye, close the eye slightly for a while, or lift the eyelid gently with your hand. Generally, the eye foreign body attached to the surface can be discharged with the tears.

2. If the eye foreign body can not be discharged by itself, there is still grinding pain. The foreign body may be on the eyelid conjunctiva inside the upper eyelid. Turn over the eyelid to find the foreign body, wipe it off gently with a wet cotton stick or a clean handkerchief, or wash it with clean water, and the grinding pain will disappear immediately.

3. If no eye foreign body is found after turning over the eyelid, it may be on the cornea. Do not take it by yourself, ask others for help, or go to the hospital for treatment.

According to the type of foreign body, the treatment is as follows:

1. When dust like foreign bodies enter the eye

Hold the upper eyelid with two fingers, gently lift it forward, blow air into the eye, and stimulate tears to rush out of the dust; or open the eyelid to find out, and gently dip the dust with clean gauze or handkerchief.

2. Dangerous particles such as iron filings, glass and porcelain enter the eyes

Do not rub or wipe your eyes back and forth, especially when there is something embedded in the black eye, close your eyes, then use a clean wine cup to buckle on the eye with foreign matters, and then cover it with gauze, fix it with bandages to seek medical treatment, and try not to turn your eyes.

3. Sulfuric acid, caustic soda and other highly corrosive chemicals splashed into eyes

The first guarantee to avoid blindness is to wash the eyes in time and regularly during emergency treatment. Immediately look for water nearby to wash the injured eyes. When washing, one side of the injured eye shall face down, and the eyelid shall be opened with the index finger and thumb, so as to flush out all corrosive chemicals in the eye as much as possible. If there is a basin of water nearby, let the injured person immediately immerse his eyes in the water and blink continuously.

4. Quicklime splashed into eyes

One can't be rubbed by hand, the other can't be washed directly with water. The right way is to use a cotton swab or a clean handkerchief to pull out the quicklime powder, and then wash the injured eye repeatedly with water for at least 15 minutes, and immediately go to the hospital for examination and treatment after washing.

'pull the eyelids and blink'

1. Hold the eyelashes with your fingers and pull down the upper eyelid.

2. Then press the upper eyelid with the upper finger cover, and blink several times quickly.

3. Loosen the eyelid to see if there are any small particles under the eyes. If there are any, it means that the things in the eyes have been cleaned up. If not, repeat the previous steps.

'water washing' method

1. Hold a little cold water in your hand.

2. Open the eyes that have entered the foreign body, and then splash the water on the eyes.

3. Dry immediately and blink quickly. If the foreign body still doesn't come out, repeat it several times. If it doesn't work, see a doctor.

4. Drop a few drops of eyedrops, then tilt your head to the side of the eye where the sundries enter, and blink your eyes several times quickly.

Tips:

Open your eyelids with your index finger and thumb. Look in the mirror and turn your eyes until you can see your hair. At this time, hold your eyelids and cough hard. The foreign body will come out. This method tries lark!

Cool the used tea bag and apply it to your eyes.

If you still can't get the foreign body out of your eyes through the above methods, go to see a doctor.

Never poke or touch your eyes with your hands.

Gently wipe your eyelids with a cloth soaked in warm water.

Put a hair into your eyes slowly, and use your hair to 'catch' the dust particles. The way to do this is to hold both ends of the hair firmly with both hands - just as with toothpick floss, and then bend the hair so that the raised part contacts the dust particles, and then bring out the particles. Pay attention not to touch the eyeball during this process.

Usually, after the eye foreign body is discharged or taken out, the eye still feels pain and discomfort, as if there are foreign bodies. This is because the eye has not been adapted or there is a wound on the cornea. As long as there is no foreign body in the examination, after a while or some antibiotic eyedrops and ointment are ordered, it will soon return to normal.
