How to deal with carbon monoxide poisoning

Four seas network: cold winter is also a season of frequent carbon monoxide poisoning. If the released carbon monoxide is not fully burned in a closed space, the cold of carbon monoxide in the air will continue to increase, and people will suffer from carbon monoxide poisoning if they breathe for a short time. How to rescue or self rescue if carbon monoxide poisoning occurs? Let's take a look at it together!

Self rescue method of gas poisoning

The symptoms of gas poisoning include: flush face, headache, dizziness, nausea, tinnitus, dyspnea and disturbance of consciousness. Don't panic when you feel gas poisoning, turn off the gas switch calmly, go to the door and window, open the door and window, and then go out of the room. If the door and window cannot be opened, the glass of the door and window can be smashed to ventilate it and call the rescuer.

Rescue method

1. Rescue the poisoned person safely from the poisoned environment and quickly transfer it to fresh air.

2. If the poisoned person's breathing is weak or even stops, carry out artificial respiration immediately; as long as the heartbeat still exists, it is possible to cure; the artificial respiration should be maintained for more than 2 hours; if the patient has vomited, the vomit in the mouth should be eliminated before artificial respiration. If the heart stops, resuscitate.

3. Try to make the poisoned inhale high concentration of oxygen. The higher the concentration of oxygen, the faster the dissociation of carboxyhemoglobin. Oxygen inhalation should be maintained until the poisoned person is conscious.

4. If the intoxicated person has a deep coma, put 10 mg dexamethasone into 20% glucose solution 20 ml for intravenous injection slowly, and put ice bag around the head to cool down, so as to prevent or reduce the occurrence of brain edema, and transfer to the hospital at the same time.

5. If there is muscle spasm, 10 mg diazepam can be injected into muscle or vein to control it and reduce the oxygen consumption of the body.

6. Remember to send the poisoned person to the hospital with hyperbaric oxygen chamber as soon as possible. In the process, the poisoned person should be given enough oxygen and the respiratory tract should be unblocked
