Introduction of new varieties of lanjianxianggu

4hw.org: in 2016, blue thin Lentinus edodes once spread all over the country. Nobody knows it on the Internet. Recently, scientists found a 'new member' of the blue thin family. Let's get to know it!

It was learned from Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences on the same day that a new member of its family had recently been found, which is the first time that the Chinese team has reported the discovery of this beautiful and moving new species in China.

The picture of "blue thin mushroom" on the Internet is a blue fungus whose umbrella has not been opened yet. Its scientific name is Fomalhaut. Peter E. Mortimer (from South Africa), a member of the research team of Xu Jianchu of Kunming Institute of Botany, has recently published a new species of the family Fritillaria, Mengsong Fritillaria.

The typical feature of the genus plagiomyces, as the name implies, is that the plaques are pink. "Blue thin mushrooms" are no exception, but their whole body, including the stipe, is blue, which makes them different from other species, especially attracting people's attention.

The Pleurotus Mengsong has a conical to flat round cap, yellowish brown hypha and 4-84-6 μ M-sized basidiospores. Scientists have determined that this new strain belongs to Pleurotus in the order of Umbelliferae through the method of "parent-child identification" - morphological and molecular comparison in the plant world. It is very close to the Pleurotus Huos, i.e. "blue thin Lentinus", and they have another brother, Pleurotus virens.

They are widely distributed, ranging from tropical rainforests and temperate forests to alpine forests and even the Arctic. In recent years, with the full development of taxonomic research in China, new species of plagioclase have been found in southern China. These findings symbolize the continuous maturity of the research methods of fungal taxonomy, opening a new window for exploring the wonderful fungal world, and the edible, medicinal and economic value of new strains will also provide endless treasures.

The research results were published in the international mainstream journal Turkish Journal of Botany under the title of a new species of blue mushroom discovered in Mengsong Township, Yunnan Province, China. The first author of this paper is aseni navoda ediriweera from Sri Lanka, who is currently engaged in Mycological Research at Kunming Institute of Botany.
