Sales Etiquette: the most common six body language analysis

What is body language? My personal definition is: body language refers to the movements made by the head, hands and feet while sitting, standing and walking, as well as the body shape presented. This article only discusses the use of body language in sales, because there are too many body language, this article only talks about a few representative, causing the attention of friends.

Six common body languages of sales etiquette

1. Handshake etiquette

This is the first time we meet and say goodbye. It is also an important body language. According to different objects, the way of handshake is also different. For the same-sex elders, they should first hold each other's right hand with their right hand, and then hold each other's right hand with their left hand. In fact, it is holding hands to show respect and enthusiasm for the elders. Treat peers, younger generation, the same sex, as long as the right hand, and each other tightly on it. When dealing with the opposite sex, especially when men and women shake hands, they should only stretch out their right hand and hold each other's four fingers. Sometimes women's aversion to men comes from shaking hands. It's impolite for them to shake hands with all their strength, and it's impolite for them to hold on, which will leave a bad first impression on each other.

2. Gesture expression

Each of us will have different gestures in the process of conversation, but some gestures are helpful for us to express, and some are annoying. In business negotiations, it's better not to use ten fingers to point at each other's gestures, which will make the other party very disgusted, and don't wave your fist when you speak. These gestures are impolite.

3. Standing posture

Many customers are tired of standing on their shoulders as soon as possible, and we don't want to end the conversation with the salesperson standing on your back. The correct way to do it is to focus on one foot in front and one foot in back, just like a soldier's leisurely movement. More stable, try not to shake your head.

4. Sitting posture

When visiting and receiving customers, sitting posture is the most commonly used body language of our salesmen. Due to the habit or too casual, some male salesmen sit on the sofa, either with long legs or with two legs crossed, which will make customers very disgusted, impolite and unstable, causing customers' distrust. Some female salesmen also sit in a male posture, some wear skirts with their legs open, which will make customers uncomfortable and affect their image. If the other person is also a woman, nine out of ten, the business will not be settled. Because women hate women's lack of dignity.

5. Bow

Some salesmen go to the customer's company to visit the customer. When they see several people in the office, they sit down and ignore them. It's also very impolite. We should learn from the Japanese, bow to everyone and say hello! I think because of your courtesy, other people will help you to get the order. Learning to bow is a good way to sell body language.

6. Nod

Nodding and smiling on many occasions is also the best body language for sales. For example: in the meeting hall, in the dining room, in the office are talking, you can nod body language to express their greetings.

In fact, as long as we communicate with people, we will use body language all the time. Only by constantly improving our self-cultivation and paying attention to the details of life, we will make ourselves elegant.
