How to name typhoon names

4hw.com.cn: typhoons in the northern hemisphere are raging again. Some curious babies find that when the typhoons come out, they have been named as if they were prophets. How are typhoons named? Let's follow Xiaobian to have a look!

Typhoon nomenclature is also called tropical cyclone nomenclature system in the Northwest Pacific and South China Sea. Typhoon refers to a level of tropical cyclones in the Northwest Pacific and South China Sea, which is often mistaken for tropical cyclones. The international unified tropical cyclone nomenclature is a nomenclature developed jointly by the surrounding countries and regions affected by the formation of tropical cyclones, and then used repeatedly year after year in order.

The naming table first gives the English name, and each member country can translate the name to the local language according to the pronunciation or meaning. When a tropical cyclone name is used, causing great losses to one or more member countries, the name will be permanently removed from use. Member States suffering losses may appeal to the World Meteorological Organization to remove their names. Like people's names, typhoons have their own names. Before the formation of each typhoon, people had already named them. Last year's typhoons are still vaguely memorable, and this year we are going to have all kinds of typhoons again.

Usually tropical cyclones produced by the Pacific typhoon season may be tropical cyclones in the Western Pacific, which may blow up Philippines, Taiwan or Japan, and then toward southeastern China, such as Hongkong, Macao, Guangdong, and so on, and then land in Chinese mainland and inland areas, such as typhoon parrot (2008).

Tropical cyclones in the Northwest Pacific are likely to blow on Taiwan or Japan, then toward the east coast of China, such as Fujian and Xiamen, and then land inland, such as typhoon Fenghuang (2008).

Tropical cyclones produced in the South China Sea may blow on the southeastern coast of China, Hainan Island, Vietnam or Taiwan, and then land in Chinese mainland and other inland areas, similar to typhoon Tao Zhi (2007).
