Summer belongs to rainy season, with high air humidity and high temperature. Various molds are easy to breed and reproduce in large quantities. Therefore, millet is easy to produce insects in summer. Can rice worms eat in the future? What should we do after millet insects?

What about millet and insects?

1. First, put the rice to be stored in a ventilated place, spread it out and blow it out (pay attention not to expose it in the sun) to dry, then put the rice into a plastic bag with less air permeability, tightly tie the bag mouth, and put it in a cool and dry place.

2. Zanthoxylum bungeanum is a kind of natural antioxidant with special fragrance and insect repellent effect. Wrap a few small packages of pepper with gauze, put them on the top, middle and bottom of the rice bag, tie the mouth of the bag tightly, and put the rice bag in a cool and ventilated place to prevent the rice from growing insects.

3. The dry kelp has strong hygroscopic ability and has the function of killing insects and inhibiting mould. When the rice is preserved, the rice and kelp are mixed in a ratio of 100 to 1. After about 10 days, the kelp is taken out to dry and blow dry completely, and then put back into the rice. In this way, the rice can be prevented from mildew and insects after repeated several times.

How to deal with rice worms?

If the rice has grown insects, fresh ginger can be put in the rice to drive the insects out. In addition, in sunny weather, should take out more sun. Put a few cloves of garlic in the middle or both ends of the rice bag, or wrap some prickly ash in a cloth or paper and put it in the rice container. Usually, the rice storage tank or bucket should be cleaned to prevent the pupa from hiding in the winter. Once the rice raw insect is found, the rice can be dried in a cool place to let the insect fly away or climb out, and the rice raw insect can be eaten after being removed. Do not expose the rice to the sun.
