How to deal with the car boiling in summer

4hw.com.cn: Car boiling refers to the boiling point of the cooling water in the engine water tank. That is to say, the water inside is boiled. With the temperature rising in summer, the car is easy to boil. If the car is boiling, what can we do to minimize the loss?

Now most of the cars use water-cooling device to heat the engine. The water-cooling system of the engine mainly consists of water pump, radiator, cooling fan, thermostat, engine body and water jacket in the cylinder head. The water tank is also called heat exchanger. There is enough cooling water in the water tank. The engine will generate high heat during the working process. The water pump will drive the cooling water in the water tank In the internal circulation of the engine, because water has the largest specific heat compared with air, oil and other media, its heat dissipation effect is also the best. When water flows around the water jacket wall in the engine body and cylinder head, and fully contacts with the water jacket wall to absorb the surrounding heat and take away the heat, then it enters the water inlet of the radiator through the thermostat, and the cooling water with high temperature flows towards the radiator The air around the radiator dissipates heat to reduce the temperature. Finally, the cooling water after cooling returns to the water pump through the water outlet of the radiator and circulates in this way.

If the thermostat is damaged, the electronic fan is damaged, and the water tank is short of water in the cooling system, the cooling water in the water tank will not be cooled, resulting in the rise of the water temperature. When the boiling point of the water is reached, a large number of bubbles will be generated. A part of the area is occupied by bubbles, which will cause serious water shortage around the cylinder wall. Although there is cooling water in the water tank, there is no cooling water around the cylinder wall With enough water to dissipate heat, the heat exchange efficiency is greatly reduced, and the heat in the cylinder cannot be brought to the water tank for heat dissipation.

At this time, the temperature in the cylinder will rise rapidly. If the excessive heat is not dissipated in time and the driving continues at a high load, the strength of the piston, piston ring, connecting rod and other components will be reduced, even deformed, unable to bear the normal load. At the same time, the normal clearance between the parts will be damaged, so that the normal oil film cannot be maintained between the parts. If it is light, the engine will pull the cylinder and pull If the bearing is heavy, the whole engine will be damaged or even scrapped.

Driving in summer is inevitable for old vehicles, so once the pot is on, how can we deal with it so as to reduce the loss as much as possible. When the water tank boils, we first need to analyze whether it boils at low speed or at high speed, because the treatment of boils is different in these two cases. In case of low-speed water tank boiling, that is, the engine is in low-speed running state before boiling, pull over immediately, turn off the engine, open the engine compartment cover to facilitate its heat dissipation, and then call the service station for rescue.

If the engine is running at a high speed before boiling, we should immediately pull over and stop the car. Unlike low-speed boiling, do not put the engine out of fire at this time, but idle the car to let the engine run for a period of time. Because the engine is in high-speed running state before, a lot of heat generated by the engine has not been emitted, and these residual heat also needs residual cooling water to emit it.

For example, many people like to drive at a high speed, but they can turn off the engine immediately after running at a high speed. At this time, the internal temperature of the engine is still very high. When the engine turns off suddenly, the water pump stops working, and the cooling water in the radiator cannot be recycled, so the water temperature will continue to rise for a while after stopping.

Of course, this is normal. As long as there is no problem with the cooling system, the water temperature will quickly return to the normal value. For example, this is no more than to show that the engine will generate a lot of waste heat after high-speed operation. If the boiler is turned off quickly after opening, these waste heat will generate a very high temperature, which will deform and damage the components.

The reason for idling for a period of time is that the cooling water in the radiator is driven by the water pump, and the water pump and the crankshaft of the engine run in the same direction. When the engine stops running, the crankshaft stops running, and the water pump does not work, and the cooling water in the radiator cannot circulate, and the temperature in the engine will soar rapidly. In this case, the vehicle should be idled on the side of the road for a while and then shut down. At the same time, the engine compartment cover should be opened for rescue.
