1. Is sinus rhythm normal?
The normal rhythm of the human body should be sinus rhythm. The 'sinus' here is an anatomical structure of the human heart, which is called sinoatrial node. The heart should be directed by the electrical signal from the sinoatrial node. If your heart rate is atrial or ventricular, it's not normal.
2. How does sinus rhythm produce?
In the organs of our human body, only the heart can't rest for a moment and can't stop beating. So who is directing the regular beating of the heart? There is a small nodule composed of special cells in the right atrium of human body, which is called sinoatrial node in medicine. "Sinoatrial node" is the place that can cause the heart to contract by itself. It can automatically and rhythmically transmit to all parts of the heart in order, causing the contraction and relaxation of the heart, and making the heart carry out rhythmic cycle of contraction and relaxation activities. 3. What state is sinus rhythm normal?
The sinoatrial node sends out pulses continuously at a rhythm of 60-100 times per minute, so the normal sinus heart rate is 60-100 times per minute.
If the heartbeat is too fast, more than 100 times per minute, it is sinus tachycardia. Sometimes sinus tachycardia is normal, sometimes it can indicate diseases, such as hyperthyroidism. Conversely, if the heart rate is too slow, less than 60 beats per minute, it is sinus bradycardia. Most of the young and middle-aged patients with sinus bradycardia show that your physical quality is better. In some cases, sinus bradycardia indicates morbid condition, which requires further diagnosis and treatment in cardiology department.
