Has the toxic egg entered China? Which poisonous eggs can't be eaten?

Millions of chickens will be culled in the Netherlands as the scandal over egg pollution in Europe intensifies. Egg is the most common food in our daily life, so you know how to identify toxic eggs? Which toxic eggs can't be eaten?

At the same time, Belgium has vowed to maintain full transparency about the reasons why it first learned of the problem in June but kept it secret.

Since Belgium first informed the European Union Executive Committee on July 20, supermarkets in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium have taken millions of eggs off the shelves, followed by Swedish and Swiss retailers.

The European Union's quick warning system has determined that eggs that may have been contaminated have also been distributed to France and the UK through Germany, the European Commission said Tuesday.

The FSA said it was conducting an urgent investigation into the distribution of eggs from problem farms in the UK.

According to the French government, 13 batches of Dutch eggs contaminated by fenproni have been seized at two food processing plants in the central and western part of France.

The Netherlands recently tested eggs containing high concentrations of the insecticide fipronil, which led to the announcement of the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Sweden and Switzerland that millions of eggs would be removed from the shelves.

The Dutch agricultural organization LTO said 300000 chickens had been slaughtered and estimated that millions of chickens might eventually be destroyed.

Six kinds of 'poisonous eggs' must not be eaten

1. scattered yellow eggs

There are two reasons for egg yolk dispersion: one is that the egg yolk membrane is broken due to intense vibration; the other is that the egg yolk membrane is broken due to the long storage time, and the egg is invaded by bacteria or mould through the eggshell pores, which destroys the protein structure and causes yolk dispersion and the egg liquid is thin and muddy. But it's not to say that sallow can't be eaten. If no peculiar smell is found, it can still be eaten after high-temperature treatment such as frying. However, if bacteria propagate in the egg body, the protein has denatured and has a bad smell, it can't be eaten.

2. stillborn eggs

In the process of egg hatching, due to the contamination of bacteria or parasites, coupled with poor temperature and humidity conditions, the eggs that cause the embryo to stop developing are called stillborn eggs. The nutrition of this kind of egg has changed. If it dies for a long time, the protein will be decomposed to produce a variety of toxic substances, so it is not suitable for eating.

3. moldy eggs

If you find black spots on the eggshell and mildew, this kind of egg must not be eaten. In general, this kind of egg is due to rain or damp, bacteria take the opportunity to enter the egg and cause mildew.

4. cracked eggs

Most of the reasons for the cracks in the eggshell are due to excessive vibration, which leads to cracks in the eggshell, thus bacteria invasion, so this kind of egg is not suitable for eating.

5. sticky shell eggs

Due to the long storage time of this kind of egg, the yolk film becomes weak from toughness, and the yolk clings to the eggshell. If the part is red, you can eat it, but if the egg film clings to the eggshell and does not move, it is dark black on the outside of the skin, and has peculiar smell, it is not suitable to eat again.

6. rotten eggs

This kind of egg is very obvious. When it is opened, it can smell the bad smell. This is because bacteria invade into the egg and multiply in large quantities, causing deterioration. The eggshell is black and gray. The mixture in the egg is grayish green or dark yellow, and has a foul smell. If you eat this kind of egg, it is easy to cause bacterial poisoning.
