There is always a smell of gasoline in the car

4hw.com.cn: I don't know if any of you have found a phenomenon, that is, whether you drive a new car or an old car, there is always a strong smell of gasoline in the car. Or, do you always find that your car is full of a strange smell of gasoline. Sometimes when you drive at high speed, the smell of gasoline suddenly disappears for a while I was so scared that I stopped at the side of the road to check whether there was any oil leakage. I was afraid that the case of vehicle explosion in the movie and TV series would happen to me. I could check it all around, but I didn't find any clues. So what's the matter with the smell of gasoline in the car? Let's take a look at it with Xiaobian~

Of course, such a habit is good. Once it is found that the vehicle has obvious abnormalities, it is the safest way to stop and check it. But sometimes, if you master such a little common sense, you will be able to avoid this seemingly neurotic practice.

So where does this smell come from? In fact, most of the cases are too full. Many people have the habit of filling up the tank with gas. After the tank is full, they have to pull out the gas gun and jump again several times before they give up. They can see the gas page from the gas port. This is the main cause of the smell of gasoline in your car.

It turns out that when the gasoline is overfilled, the gasoline may rush into the carbon tank along the oil path, and the function of the carbon tank is originally to absorb the gasoline vapor. When it is immersed in the gasoline, it is possible to over distribute the gasoline vapor from the vent, especially when the air conditioner is in the external circulation state, the gasoline smell is particularly serious.

So what is the carbon canister? As we all know, in addition to gasoline liquid, the fuel tank will be full of gasoline vapor. When the gasoline vapor increases gradually and cannot be distributed, the pressure in the tank will change accordingly, which will affect the normal fuel supply, and may be blocked when filling gasoline. Some people will encounter the problem that the fuel gauge shows that it is not full, but the fuel gun jumps ahead of time, most of which are caused by the above reasons.

If the gasoline vapor is directly removed, it is obviously not in line with the increasingly stringent environmental protection policies and emission standards. Therefore, the carbon canister becomes the solution. After the gasoline vapor is recovered through the carbon canister, it is sent to the cylinder for combustion, which is not wasteful and reduces the emission pollution. Because of the limited capacity of the carbon canister, if it can only absorb the gasoline vapor, it will directly invade the gasoline, which will certainly lead to the strong smell of gasoline in the car, but this situation will disappear with the gradual consumption of gasoline.

Therefore, if the fuel is added too slowly, resulting in the smell of gasoline, the air conditioning cycle mode should be adjusted to the internal cycle for a short time. After a period of time, a certain amount of fuel is consumed, and then the external cycle is started, there will be no pungent smell of gasoline.

So, in addition, what else can cause gasoline smell emission? The first problem is the leakage of the gasoline pipe. If there is a leakage of the gasoline pipe, the gasoline flavor will enter the vehicle along with the air conditioning system, and the leakage part generally appears at the pipeline interface. We can see from the daily inspection that the leaked gasoline will absorb a lot of dust after a period of time, thus forming a thick sludge.

The other reason is the aging of the rubber pipe of the carbon canister, which is responsible for connecting the rubber pipe between the carbon canister and the throttle valve. With the increase of driving mileage, the rubber pipe will gradually age. Aging will cause the leakage of gasoline vapor, so the smell of gasoline is always heard in the car.

In daily car use, if the above situation occurs, don't blindly suspect that there is a problem with the car, or be sure that the smell of gasoline comes from the air outside. Maybe it's because of the bad habit that you always fill up too much oil. If you have to fill up every time, you can jump the gun for the first time. There's no need to add more. Secondly, for the vehicles that have reached 50000-60000 km, frequent inspection of aging parts is also a way to prevent the smell of gasoline from entering the vehicle.
