Reported that the most dangerous tourist destination is Thailand. In 2017, nearly a quarter of insurance claims were completed in Thailand. Chile and the United States are tied for second place, each accounting for 15 per cent of total insurance claims. Also on the list are France (7%), Spain (8%) and Germany (8%), and tourists to France and Spain often file claims against insurance companies for pickpockets.
Nepal, Peru, the Bahamas and Brazil are also listed as the most dangerous countries for tourism.
