In addition to the GDP related data not released in Inner Mongolia, other 30 provinces have released specific GDP total and growth data. Combined with the growth of each province in 2017, the total GDP and growth rate of 30 provinces (except Inner Mongolia) in the first quarter of this year also had a new ranking.
According to statistics, in terms of total economic output, Guangdong and Jiangsu both topped the 2 trillion yuan mark for the first time, ranking in the top two places. Shandong, Zhejiang and Henan ranked third to fifth. Among them, Henan Department broke through the one trillion yuan barrier for the first time.
In terms of economic growth, 19 out of 30 provinces have exceeded or kept pace with the national average growth rate of 6.8%. Among them, Guizhou leads the country with an economic growth rate of 10.1%, and becomes the only province with double-digit economic growth. In the first quarter, the other two western provinces, Tibet and Yunnan, also enjoyed remarkable economic growth, 9.5% and 9.3% respectively, ranking second and third.
Hebei's GDP slipped to the tenth place, and Guizhou surpassed Jilin
Specifically, in the first quarter of this year, the top five provinces in terms of national economic aggregate have not changed from last year, and Guangdong, Jiangsu and Henan have achieved breakthroughs.
Guangdong ranks first with a total of 2170529 million yuan. However, compared with the same period last year, Jiangsu, ranking second, is narrowing the gap with Guangdong, with a total economic difference of 61.545 billion yuan from last year to 61.199 billion yuan.
Provinces with the sixth to tenth largest economies have seen new changes. Last year's ranking was Sichuan, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan and Shanghai.
