How much is the average wage in 2016?

4hw.org: how many years did you save all year round last year? Recently, the average wages of all provinces in 2016 have been published. Let's see if you have lagged behind!

After the National Bureau of statistics released the average wage data of urban employees in 2016, the average annual wage of urban employees in each province in 2016 has also been published.

According to incomplete statistics from China Economic Weekly, as of June 28, 23 provinces in China, including Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Jiangsu, have successively announced the regional average wage in 2016. Beijing has the highest average wage among the announced provinces, among which the average wage of non private enterprises has reached a historical high of 119928 yuan, an increase of 8538 yuan or 7.7% over 111390 yuan in 2015.

But in only four of the 23 provinces, including Beijing, the average wage of Urban Non private sector employees has surpassed the national level. At the bottom of Henan Province, the average wage of Urban Non private enterprises is 49505 yuan, less than half of that of Beijing. At the same time, the average wage of urban private sector personnel in only five provinces has exceeded the national level, with Jilin at the bottom. The average wage is only 30184 yuan, less than half of Beijing's and 12649 yuan less than the national average of 42833 yuan.

The average monthly salary of non private units in most provinces is 5000 yuan

The national average wage data in 2016 recently released by the National Bureau of statistics shows that in 2016, the annual average wage of non private urban employees was 67569 yuan, and the annual average wage of private urban employees was 42833 yuan.

In terms of the average wage of Urban Non private sector employees, only four provinces, including Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Jiangsu, have exceeded the national average. In terms of the average wage of urban private sector employees, only five provinces, namely Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Chongqing and Jiangsu, have exceeded the national average.

The above statistics show that the average wage of most provinces, whether urban non private or urban private units, fails to exceed the national average.

In addition, according to statistics from China Economic Weekly, in 2016, there were 13 provinces with an average annual wage of more than 60000 yuan, including Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Qinghai, Guizhou, Ningxia, Chongqing, Sichuan, Fujian, Hainan, Inner Mongolia and Yunnan, accounting for 59%, more than half of them. Converted into monthly wages, the average monthly wages of Urban Non private sector employees in these 13 provinces reached 5000 yuan.

However, the average annual wage of urban private sector employees only exceeds 40000 yuan in six provinces and cities, including Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Chongqing, Jiangsu and Hainan, accounting for 23%. Converted into monthly wages, the average monthly wages of the employees in the private units in these six provinces and cities exceed 3333 yuan.

Eastern provinces have the highest wage levels, followed by western provinces

In terms of regions, according to the data released by the National Bureau of statistics, in 2016, the average annual wages of Urban Non private sector employees were 77013 yuan, 62453 yuan, 55299 yuan and 54872 yuan respectively in the East, West, central and northeast regions, with a year-on-year nominal growth rate of 9.1% in the East, 9.0% in the west, 8.8% in the central region and 7.5% in the northeast region. The ratio of average wages in the highest and lowest regions was 1.40, an increase of 0.01 over the previous year.

In terms of private enterprises in cities and towns, the order of average wages from high to low last year was the same in the eastern, western, central and northeast regions, with 47347 yuan, 39047 yuan, 35000 yuan and 33184 yuan, respectively, with a year-on-year nominal growth rate of 9.0% in the East, 7.0% in the west, 6.8% in the central region and 3.1% in the eastern and northern regions. The ratio of average wages in the highest and lowest regions was 1.43, an increase of 0.08 over the previous year.

The above data can draw a conclusion that the average wage in 2016 is relatively high, mostly distributed in the eastern coastal areas and the southwest.

However, according to the ranking of provinces that have published average wage data, the East and West are almost equal.

First, look at the average wage of Urban Non private sector employees. The top ten provinces are Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Qinghai, Guizhou, Ningxia, Chongqing, Sichuan and Shandong. Among them, 5 provinces are concentrated in the East, 5 provinces are concentrated in the west, and there are no provinces in the central part of the country, showing the overall pattern of "East West equal distribution".

The same is true for urban private sector. The top ten are Beijing, Guangdong, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hainan, Anhui, Guizhou, Ningxia and Sichuan. Among them, there are 5 provinces in the East, 4 in the West and 1 in the middle. The top ten are basically occupied by the eastern and western provinces.

It's easy to understand that the eastern region has developed economy and the average wage is high. However, why do people think that the average wage level of the western region with underdeveloped economy is higher than that of the central region?

Zhang Shixian, a researcher at the Institute of industrial economy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told China Economic Weekly that there are three reasons for the rapid growth of average wages in the western region:

First of all, there is a certain relationship with the supply and demand of labor. In recent years, the labor force in the western region has moved to the East and moved more, which leads to the relative shortage of labor supply in the western region. Therefore, the basic wage will naturally be higher. '

Secondly, it is related to the industrial structure of the western region. 'the industrial development in the West focuses on the mining industry and raw material industry. There are many large enterprises and the wages are relatively standardized, which leads to relatively high wages in the West. '

The third is related to the transfer payment of the central finance. In recent years, the central government's transfer payment to the western region has increased year by year, which has greatly improved the situation of per capita financial resources between regions, making the per capita financial resources in the western region close to the eastern region. '

As for the transfer payment of central finance to local governments, Xie Xuren, the former Minister of finance, once made a metaphor: "before the transfer payment, if the eastern region is calculated as 100, the central region is only 35, and the western region is only about 40. After the transfer payment, if the per capita financial level of the eastern region is 100, the western region has reached 97, and the central region has reached 76 to 77, and the distribution balance has reached 97 Greatly improved. '

Awkward ranking in Central China, the average wage of non private enterprises in Henan is at the bottom

In the top ten of the average wages of Urban Non private units, there is no central province; in the top ten of urban private units, only one province in Anhui province takes the seat, ranking 7th.

This means that the average wage of urban employees in the central provinces is relatively low among the 23 provinces where the data are currently published, among which Henan is the bottom.

The annual average wage level of non private enterprises in Henan Province is the lowest among 23 provinces, only 49505 yuan; although compared with 45403 yuan in 2015, it increased by 4102 yuan, with a nominal growth of 9.0% year-on-year, and the growth rate accelerated by 1.4 percentage points compared with 2015, it is still backward compared with other provinces in the country.

Compared with Beijing, which ranks first, the gap between Henan and Beijing is not small. The average annual wage of non private enterprises in Beijing is 2.42 times that of Henan Province, and the average annual wage of private enterprises is 1.97 times that of Henan Province. Compared with Beijing, even compared with the national average of 67569 yuan, it is 18064 yuan less, only 73% of the national average.

Why does Henan come to the bottom of the country? Zhang Shixian thinks: 'first of all, Henan is the largest province of labor supply in the country. The labor supply is greater than the demand, and the wage rise is naturally slower. Secondly, in recent years, although the industrialization level of Henan Province has been improved rapidly, the real level of urbanization is still relatively low. A large number of people are employed in cities and towns, and the proportion of migrant workers is relatively large, which lowers the overall wage level of Henan Province. '

The public data also confirmed Zhang's judgment. On May 25, the blue book of Henan Society (2017), published by Henan Academy of Social Sciences, pointed out that in 2016, the growth rate of GDP in Henan Province was 8.1%, and the growth rate of residents' income in Henan Province was 7.7%, lower than the growth rate of GDP. The growth rate of GDP in this province is 1.4 percentage points higher than the national average level, but the gap between urban and rural residents' income and the national average level is widening, especially the rural residents' income has even declined significantly. This reflects that the quality of Henan's economic development needs to be improved, and the rapid economic development has not brought tangible benefits to the people.

The wage growth in Northeast China is slow, and the average wage of private enterprises in Jilin is the lowest in China

Wages in the Northeast are still worrisome.

According to the published data, the average annual wage of non private units in northeast cities and towns is 54872 yuan, ranking behind the East, West and central regions; the average annual wage of private units in cities and towns is 33184 yuan, which is also the lowest compared with the three regions of East, West and middle.

By province, as of June 28, only Jilin Province in the three northeastern provinces announced the average wage. According to the data, the average annual wage of non private units in cities and towns of Jilin Province is 56098 yuan. This figure is higher than that of Henan, Shanxi and Hebei, ranking 19th. The average annual wage of the private units in the cities and towns of the province is 30184 yuan, which is the lowest in the country at present. 'the slow growth of the average wage in the northeast is due to historical reasons. Zhang Shixian told China Economic Weekly that as an old industrial base in Northeast China, there are many large state-owned enterprises, and the original wage base is higher than that in Central China. However, in recent years, Northeast China's economic development has been slow, and wages have been rising slowly.

However, with the economic recovery in the Northeast in the first quarter of this year, it may be able to improve the local average wage level to some extent.

From the perspective of economic data, it can be expected that the average wage of urban employees in Northeast China will increase in 2017. Zhang Shixian reminded: "in order to improve the wage level in the northeast, the most fundamental thing is to adjust the industrial structure on the supply side, increase the proportion of employment in new industries such as technological innovation and cultural creativity, so that the wage income will naturally increase.".
