The average monthly salary of non private units in most provinces is 5000 yuan

However, the average annual wage of urban private sector employees only exceeds 40000 yuan in six provinces and cities, including Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Chongqing, Jiangsu and Hainan, accounting for 23%. Converted into monthly wages, the average monthly wages of the employees in the private units in these six provinces and cities exceed 3333 yuan. Eastern provinces have the highest wage levels, followed by western provinces

In terms of regions, according to the data released by the National Bureau of statistics, in 2016, the average annual wages of Urban Non private sector employees were 77013 yuan, 62453 yuan, 55299 yuan and 54872 yuan respectively in the East, West, central and northeast regions, with a year-on-year nominal growth rate of 9.1% in the East, 9.0% in the west, 8.8% in the central region and 7.5% in the northeast region. The ratio of average wages in the highest and lowest regions was 1.40, an increase of 0.01 over the previous year.

In terms of private enterprises in cities and towns, the order of average wages from high to low last year was the same in the eastern, western, central and northeast regions, with 47347 yuan, 39047 yuan, 35000 yuan and 33184 yuan, respectively, with a year-on-year nominal growth rate of 9.0% in the East, 7.0% in the west, 6.8% in the central region and 3.1% in the eastern and northern regions. The ratio of average wages in the highest and lowest regions was 1.43, an increase of 0.08 over the previous year.
