What are the procedures for keeping a pet dog?
1、 Dog conditions
（1） Having a legal identity certificate or a unit established according to law;
（2） Having full capacity for civil conduct;
（3） Having a fixed residence (refer to the self owned property or the lease residence for more than six months);
（4） Single family residence (non shared property or partnership lease);
（5） There are special places and safety protection facilities (unit dog keeping).
2、 Application materials
（1） Dog registration form;
（2） Copy of ID card or unit registration certificate;
（3） A copy of the house property right certificate or the lease contract or the certificate provided by the neighborhood committee that has lived in the fixed residence for more than six months;
（4） Unit introduction letter and ID card copy of handler (unit dog);
（5） Three pictures of one inch dog head and one picture of three inch dog body;
（6） For blind people to raise guide dogs and for disabled people to raise support dogs, proof of disability shall be provided;
（7） In case of breeding a sterilizing dog, the sterilizing certificate provided by the sterilizing operation institution shall be submitted.
Large dogs and strong dogs are not allowed to be raised in the urban area. Only one small pet dog is allowed to be raised in each household. The dog management office of the Municipal Public Security Bureau must go through the formalities for approval.

To apply for registration of small viewing dogs, you need to take your residence or temporary residence permit to the local police station and fill in the registration form.
