Shi Yuanpeng, deputy general manager of North China oil field exploration division of CNPC, said that after years of exploration, an oil field was found in Chayouhouqi, Inner Mongolia, with a preliminary predicted reserves of about 30 million tons. At present, pilot production has begun.

According to China News Agency, PetroChina North China Oilfield Company has drilled 77 wells so far in Chayouhouqi, Ulanqab city. The discovered oil field is characterized by shallow burial, high production, good oil quality and large scale.

CNPC North China Oilfield Company began to explore oil in Ulanchab city in 1985, and the main exploration work was concentrated in the past five years. In 2018, the exploration business division plans to drill 21 wells in Ulanqab City, implement 120 square kilometers of three-dimensional earthquake, with an estimated investment of 170 million yuan.
