Introduction of competition system
The German Cup is divided into six rounds. In the first round, there are 64 teams participating in the competition, which are divided into two groups. 18 teams in group A and 14 teams in group B are included in the first group. Another 4 teams in group B are promoted and 28 teams in lower level are included in the second group. The team in the first round is decided by drawing lots. The party in lower level has the right to play at home. All events are held in the form of a final victory. If a tie is made within the legal time, it needs to be decided in extra time (both sides of the extra time must complete the event of 15 minutes each in the first half and the second half of the extra time).
