According to the Beijing Municipal Commission of education, as the time for the senior high school entrance examination is getting closer, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education recently formulated the measures for the implementation of the Beijing junior high school academic level examination, emphasizing that the Beijing graduation certificate examination and the senior high school entrance examination will be integrated for the first time in 2021, and the new scheme will be implemented from the first year of junior high school in 2018. The current second grade students are scheduled to take the academic level examinations of geography and biology at the end of this semester.

Junior high school academic level test is to measure the degree to which students meet the national learning requirements. The test results will become the basic basis for students' graduation and further study. It is reported that in 2018, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission issued the implementation opinions on further promoting the reform of school examination and enrollment system in senior high school, which determined the basic framework of junior high school academic level examination.

Examination subjects: all 12 subjects are included in the examination scope

All the subjects set in the experimental plan for compulsory education curriculum will be included in the academic level examination of junior middle schools in Beijing. The examination will include 12 subjects: Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, morality and the rule of law, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, sports and health, art (music and Art), and comprehensive practical activities (information technology and Labor Technology).

Among them, the written examination is adopted for the two subjects of Chinese and mathematics. The length of Chinese examination is 150 minutes and that of mathematics examination is 120 minutes. The foreign language test adopts the written test, listening and speaking test. The listening and speaking test are separated from the written test. The written test is 90 minutes long and the listening and speaking test is 30 minutes long. Students in Grade 9 have two opportunities for listening and speaking tests. The six subjects of morality and rule of law, history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology are examined by combining written examination with practical activities. The written examination duration of each subject is 70 minutes. Before 2023, the experimental operation will be included in the junior middle school academic level examination, and the examination results will be included in the enrollment basis of senior high school. The specific measures will be stipulated separately.

Physical education and health adopt the combination of on-site examination and process assessment, and the specific requirements will be announced separately. Art (music and Art) is determined according to students' usual performance and comprehensive evaluation, and comprehensive practical activities (information technology and Labor Technology) are determined according to students' actual operation ability. The specific requirements shall be formulated by the District Education Committee.

Examination results: presentation of original results plus grade results

It is reported that the academic level examination results of junior middle schools in Beijing will be presented in the form of original scores and grade scores. The original scores are mainly used for middle school enrollment, and the grade scores are mainly used for graduation recognition and independent enrollment.

The scoring method of the original score is: the scores of Chinese, mathematics and foreign language are 100 points, including 60 points in the written foreign language test and 40 points in the listening and speaking test. The scores of morality and rule of law, history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology are 80 points, including 70 points for written examination and 10 points for practical activities. The score of physical education and health is 40 points, including 30 points for on-site examination and 10 points for process assessment.

The grades are divided into four grades A, B, C and D from high to low according to the original grades. Among them, grade C and above are qualified, and grade D is unqualified. If the score of each subject reaches more than 85% (inclusive), it is a grade, 70% (inclusive) to 85% of the full score is B grade, 60% (inclusive) to 70% of the full score is C grade, and less than 60% of the full score is D grade.

In addition, the examinations of Art (music, art) and comprehensive practical activities (information technology and Labor Technology) are presented only with grade scores.

Successful enrollment: 8 of the 12 general subject scores are determined and included in the total score

At the time of admission, 8 of the 12 subjects of junior middle school academic level examination will be determined, and the original results will be included in the total score of admission, with a full score of 660 points. Among them, the scores of Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, sports and health, morality and the rule of law and physics must be included; According to the principle of giving consideration to both arts and science, one course is selected in history and geography, and one course is selected in chemistry and biology. Previous students and fresh students who did not participate in the examination of geography and biology in Grade 8 will include the scores of history and chemistry.

In addition, Beijing requires each student to complete 10 open scientific practice activities in the three years of junior middle school, with 3 points each time and a full score of 30 points. After the score is divided by 3, it will be included in the academic level examination scores of physics, chemistry and biology. Students should also complete 10 comprehensive social practice activities in each academic year, a total of 30 times, 1 point for each time, with a full score of 30 points. The score divided by 3 is rounded off and included in the academic level examination scores of morality and rule of law, history and geography.
