Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education held a press conference on April 3 to issue the opinions on the implementation of the reform of the examination and enrollment system in senior high schools in Jiangxi Province (for Trial Implementation). The purpose of the reform is to reverse the practice of evaluating students only based on their test scores. Through pilot exploration and gradual promotion, a high school enrollment mode based on the test scores of junior middle school academic level and combined with comprehensive quality evaluation will be initially formed around 2020.
Abolish the current middle school entrance examination and carry out the junior high school academic level examination
From the beginning of the first year of junior high school in autumn 2018, the current unified high school entrance examination will be cancelled in the whole province, and the "two examinations in one" for junior high school graduation and senior high school enrollment will be unified and standardized as the junior high school academic level examination, with the results as the basis for senior high school enrollment.
The examination subjects include 13 subjects, including Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, morality and rule of law, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, music, sports and health, fine arts, information technology education in comprehensive practical activities, etc. Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, morality and rule of law, history and geography adopt written examination; physics, chemistry and biology adopt the combination of written examination and experimental operation; sports and health adopt on-site test; information technology adopts operation examination; music and art adopt the combination of process and final examination.
In principle, the examination shall be arranged at the end of the academic year, and the time for admission and scoring subject examination shall be arranged in June. Each county (city) directly under the jurisdiction of the province has its own proposition, among which Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, morality and rule of law, history, physics and chemistry implement the unified examination time and requirements of the examination room.
Comprehensive quality evaluation as the basis and reference of enrollment
The comprehensive quality evaluation will be implemented from the first year of junior high school in autumn 2018, and the evaluation results will serve as the basis and reference for the enrollment of high school students. According to the nature of compulsory education and the characteristics of students' age, combined with the teaching practice, the evaluation is carried out from five aspects of Ideological and moral character, academic level, physical and mental health, artistic quality and social practice, focusing on the cultivation and outstanding performance of students' daily behavior norms, fully reflecting the overall development and personality of students.
The evaluation process is divided into four steps: realistic record, selection publicity, input system, and file formation, and finally the comprehensive quality development report of students is formed. For the students transferred from other provinces and cities to our provincial schools, the relevant activity records and fact materials shall be entered into the comprehensive quality files of the students after the transfer out school issues the certification materials and the transfer in school publicizes and reviews them. In order to ensure the objective and fair evaluation of comprehensive quality, the Provincial Department of education will establish a unified information management system for comprehensive quality evaluation of junior middle school students in the whole province.
Explore the '8 + n' mode of admission scoring subjects
Adopt the principle of pilot first, then comprehensive promotion, and reform the enrollment mode of examination. This year, on the basis of the comprehensive implementation of the academic level examination and comprehensive quality evaluation in all counties (cities and districts) of the province, 30 counties will be selected in the province to carry out the pilot reform of the enrollment mode of high school entrance examination. Starting from the first grade students of junior high school who entered in the autumn of 2021, the whole province carried out the reform of the enrollment mode of high school entrance examination.
Reform the composition of admission scoring subjects, including Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, sports and health, morality and rule of law, history, physics and chemistry; encourage pilot areas to select some subjects from geography, biology, music, art and information technology to be included in the admission scoring subjects, and explore the "8 + n" model; promote comprehensive quality The use of the evaluation results takes the comprehensive quality evaluation as the basis and reference for the enrollment of high school students, but not as the subject of scoring, which is reflected and reflected in the comprehensive quality evaluation.
