All restaurants in Tokyo have stricter smoking regulations than the law
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government recently decided to implement the passive smoking prevention regulations from April 1, which stipulates that all restaurants with employees, regardless of scale, are prohibited from smoking in principle. NHK said the regulation was stricter than the law.
On the 11th, 50 days before the implementation of the regulations, Tokyo governor baihezo Koike visited a restaurant in the Tokyo Metropolitan port area and exchanged views with the restaurant owner. It is reported that the restaurant has implemented a comprehensive ban on smoking.
Regarding the decision of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to ban smoking, the owner of the restaurant said, "we often have children and the elderly patronize our store, and I am very happy to implement a comprehensive ban on smoking.".
In this regard, Xiaochi said, 'we are promoting the smoke-free Olympics and hope to get everyone's support'. After that, she also distributed anti-smoking leaflets to restaurant operators to seek their understanding of the anti-smoking work.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, from July 24 to August 9.
