1, what is New Coronavirus?
New Coronavirus is a new strain of coronavirus that has never been found in human body before. A coronavirus isolated from lower respiratory tract of patients with unknown cause pneumonia in Wuhan was named New Coronavirus, named WHO 2019-nCoV.
There are 2 ways of spreading New Coronavirus:
(1) Contact propagation
Touching the surface of the contaminated object and touching the mouth, nose or eyes with dirty hands are all possible ways of spreading New Coronavirus.
(2) Droplet propagation
It is spread in the air through coughing or sneezing, and the droplets are floating with the air. If there is no protection, it is very easy to get caught.
What are the clinical manifestations of pneumonia caused by New Coronavirus?
The main clinical manifestations of the patients were fever and fatigue. The respiratory symptoms were mainly dry cough and gradually dyspnea. The severe cases were acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis and coagulation dysfunction. Some patients have mild symptoms and no fever.
Most patients are mild and moderate, with a good prognosis. A few patients are in critical condition and even die.
How long is the incubation period for New Coronavirus?
The incubation period of New Coronavirus is usually 3-7 days, the shortest is 1 days, the longest is not more than 14 days.
Susceptible population of New Coronavirus.
The national health and health committee recently issued the notice on the prevention and control of pneumonia in children and pregnant women with New Coronavirus infection, which clearly stated that children and pregnant women are susceptible to pneumonia caused by New Coronavirus. The notice states that children should try to avoid going out; Mothers should wear masks, wash their hands and keep local hygiene when breastfeeding.
