China's per capita GDP exceeded US $10000, ranking second in the world
The National Bureau of Statistics announced on January 17 that after preliminary accounting, China's GDP in 2019 was 99.0865 trillion yuan, ranking second in the world; the per capita GDP reached a new level of 10000 US dollars for the first time. China's per capita GDP exceeded 10000 US dollars, equivalent to doubling the world population with per capita GDP of more than 10000 US dollars.
