On Wednesday (1st local time), the Arizona government disclosed to the public an incident in which a puma swallowed a human body.
Three pumas were found near a famous hiking route in Tucson, Arizona government officials said Monday, Fox News reported. When they were found, the three lions were swallowing human bodies, which was considered a serious threat to the public.
The Arizona game and fish Department said in a statement that although there was no evidence that the cause of death of the deceased was directly related to the three pumas, the pumas showed no signs of fear when the staff removed the bodies. Relevant departments closed part of the National Forest of corona for a day, tried to trap pumas, but failed, and finally decided to kill them.
It is reported that the deceased was found in the canyon path in Pima County on December 31. The forensic medicine is trying to determine the identity of the deceased and find the cause of death.
The climbing path at the foot of Mount Lemmon was originally scheduled to open on January 14. However, relevant departments believe that after the disappearance of the lions, the public is no longer threatened, so this path reopened on the 1st.
