At about 17:00 on January 1, 2020, a fire broke out in building A4, California Garden community, Yubei District, Chongqing. Emergency, fire fighting, public security and other rescue forces rushed to the scene to evacuate the crowd and put out fire fighting and rescue. The open fire was put out at 19:20, and no casualties were found.
After the fire, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government attached great importance to it. The relevant municipal leaders led the municipal emergency response, fire protection, public security, health and other departments to quickly rush to the scene to command the rescue, and orderly carry out personnel search and rescue, fire fighting and disposal together with northern Chongqing district. As of 19:20, the open fire on site was put out. The firefighters searched and checked floor by floor and door by door, and there were no casualties.
According to preliminary verification, the fire broke out from the balcony of a residential house on the second floor (30 floors in total) of building A4 in California Garden community. The flame was set up and burned in a body shape, which ignited the external wall insulation layer and canopy, spread to the balcony on the 30th floor and rushed to some residential houses. The specific cause of the fire is under further investigation. At present, Yubei district is making every effort to deal with the aftermath such as appeasement and resettlement of the affected people.
