Why does gum of pregnancy inchoate meet haemorrhage? How does pregnant gum bleed do?

Many expectant mothers have this experience. After two months of pregnancy, pregnant women often have obvious gingival bleeding. So why does the gum bleed at the beginning of pregnancy? What is the cause of gum bleed? Does gum bleed affect the body of pregnant women?

The gingival hemorrhage of pregnant women is caused by the increase of progesterone (also called progesterone ') content and the increase of oral blood supply, which leads to the expansion, bending, weakening of elasticity and blood stasis of gingival capillaries. But rest assured that most of the gum bleeding will disappear after childbirth.

Prevention is the key to solve the problem. Maintain good oral hygiene, and regularly carry out preventive dental care:

1. To change a children's toothbrush with soft hair, the brush head of children's toothbrush is smaller, and the soft hair texture can reduce the harm of toothbrush to gingiva, and effectively solve the problem of gingival bleeding. If conditions permit, you may as well choose an electric toothbrush, which can effectively massage the gums and reduce the brushing intensity by about 60%, so that the bleeding degree of gingivitis will be reduced by 62%.

2. Select the toothpaste containing fluoride, but it is better not to exceed 1cm each time, and the toothpaste with high fluorine content or unclear label should be used with caution; and some medicinal ingredients in the medicated toothpaste can harm the fetus, so it is better to ask the doctor before use.

3. Use the vertical brushing method. When brushing, it should be gentle and thorough. Do not use too much force. Too much force will damage the fragile gums and cause gum bleeding.

4. Try to brush your teeth after every meal, preferably within 20 minutes after eating or drinking. If you can't, brush your teeth at least twice a day.

5. If there is gum bleeding after brushing, dissolve some sea salt in warm water to rinse.

6. If there is nausea of pregnancy and vomiting, and often vomiting, brush your teeth after the last hour or so of nausea, because the acid in your stomach will corrode your teeth, and brushing your teeth too early will cause more serious tooth damage. If you need to freshen your breath after vomiting, you can put some fluoride toothpaste on your teeth and rinse them off.

7. Try to use less toothpicks. The periodontal tissue of pregnant women is fragile. If the toothpick material used is too thick or the method used is improper, it is easy to damage the gums and cause bleeding and diseases of the periodontal tissue.

8. Pay attention to balanced nutrition and supplement vitamins and calcium. If it is lack of vitamin C, in addition to taking vitamin C tablets under the guidance of doctors, pay more attention to supplement foods rich in vitamin C and eat more fruits and vegetables.

9. If the bleeding is caused by gingivitis and periodontitis, take anti-inflammatory drugs under the guidance of the doctor, and follow the doctor's advice for further consultation. You can't stop taking drugs at will.

10. Receive regular dental care. Dentists are able to remove plaque and tartar that cannot be brushed by toothbrush. If you haven't seen a dentist recently, schedule a time for a thorough dental cleaning and examination. Be sure to let your dentist know that you are pregnant and tell you how long you are pregnant. Maybe the doctor would like you to see your teeth again during pregnancy. If you already have gum disease, you may need to see them more often, because pregnancy may worsen your gum disease.
