The reporter learned from the Civil Aviation Administration of China that the passenger traffic volume of civil aviation during the Spring Festival transportation in 2020 will reach a record high, with a year-on-year increase of about 8.4%. During the peak period, the average daily guaranteed flights of civil aviation will be more than 16000, with the growth rate ranking first among all modes of transportation. According to the analysis, the civil aviation Spring Festival transportation market will present four characteristics in 2020.
Yu Biao, director of the transportation department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China: first, before the festival, all kinds of passenger trips are superimposed, and the passenger flow peak is prominent. Compared with the 2019 Spring Festival transportation, the 2020 Spring Festival transportation is 11 days ahead of last year. In the early stage of the Spring Festival transportation, there will be a peak of passenger travel superimposed by "migrant workers", "students" and "family visits". Some peak days are prone to ticket tension.
Second, the domestic market is growing faster than the international market. From the booking data so far, the growth rate of passenger bookings in the whole civil aviation market during the Spring Festival transportation in 2020 increased by 10.9 percentage points year-on-year. The growth rate of the domestic market far exceeded that of the international market by more than 15 percentage points, and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan markets showed a sharp decline.
Third, the domestic travel trend and hot routes are similar to those in previous years. From the scheduled data so far, Domestic routes reached their peak on January 23 (December 29), January 18 before the festival and January 30, the last day of the Spring Festival holiday (sixth day of the Lunar New Year) there may be large-scale centralized travel of passengers. Fourth, hot destinations of inbound and outbound routes have been switched, with uneven hot and cold. According to the reservation data so far, the hot destinations in the international market have been switched, the demand for some entry-exit routes has shrunk, and the reservation volume has decreased significantly year-on-year.
