Didi safety transparency report official online drunkenness reporting function

On December 5, Didi released the safety transparency report of drunken passengers for the first to third quarters of 2019. This is Didi's first public announcement of drunk driving data. In the first three quarters of 2019, Didi received 37607 complaints caused by drunk driving. After the drunkenness report went online, sexual harassment complaints decreased by 36.4%.

Eighty percent of the complainants are drivers

The report shows that from January to March 2019, Didi received 37607 complaints caused by drunk driving, which is equivalent to one complaint accepted by customer service every 10 minutes. Among them, there were 4479 conflict complaints caused by passengers getting drunk, accounting for 49.1% of the total conflict complaints. There were 1170 sexual harassment complaints caused by drunkenness, accounting for 0.14% of the total safety complaints. The more serious the conflict, the higher the proportion of passengers drunk.

Drunken passengers may also lead to verbal or physical sexual harassment complaints, most of which are verbal harassment complaints. However, in a small number of physical harassment complaints, drivers complain about passengers, accounting for 87.6% and passengers complain about drivers, accounting for 12.4%. It is worth noting that the proportion of male drivers complaining about physical harassment of male passengers accounted for 52.9%.

Sexual harassment complaints decreased significantly

In August 2019, Didi launched the drunkenness reporting function nationwide. According to the statistics of didi platform, since the drunkenness reporting function was launched in August this year, drivers have reported 110000 orders for passengers' drinking every day, of which 52% are reported late at night; Passengers report 86000 orders for drinking on average every day. In all orders reported by passengers, physical harassment complaints are 0.

Didi will pay more attention to and protect the drunken orders. Before the trip, passengers can add temporary contacts if they report that they are drunk. In case of emergency, the platform will send SMS reminders to temporary contacts. During the journey, when the journey trajectory stops abnormally, passengers will receive platform safety reminder. After arriving at the destination, passengers will also receive a wake-up reminder.

The above report shows that preliminary results have been achieved after the drunkenness reporting function was launched. From January to July 2019, complaints of physical harassment caused by drunk passengers accounted for 30.2% of the total complaints of sexual harassment. From August to September, the above proportion decreased to 19.2%, equivalent to a decrease of 36.4%.
