Ji zhe was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province on October 14, 1986. He is a professional power forward. In 2005, Ji zhe participated in the Super League and the National Games on behalf of Liaoning team, and helped Liaoning get the fourth place in the National Games. In 2006, Ji zhe led Northeastern University to beat Guangdong University of technology to win the second cubs league championship. In 2007, Liaoning team loaned Ji Zhe to Beijing Shougang team.

In Beijing Shougang team, Ji zhe got more performance opportunities and became an important member of the team. In the 2011-12 season, Ji zhe can contribute 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds to Shougang on average. This season, Beijing made a breakthrough, defeated the powerful Guangdong team in the finals and won the first CBA championship in the history of the team.

In August 2012, after negotiation between Beijing team and Liaoning Sports Bureau, Ji zhe permanently transferred to Beijing Shougang team. Since then, Beijing team has won the championship in 2013-14 and 2014-15, and Ji Zhe is also one of the heroes of the team.

From 2007 to 2018, Ji zhe scored 2785 points, 1757 rebounds, 298 assists, 304 steals and 166 blocks, averaging 7.33 points, 4.72 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.86 steals.
