According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency", there have been continuous collective poisoning of employees in Taiwan funded shoe factories in northern Vietnam recently. At least 110 people have vomiting and coma symptoms and need to be sent to hospital for treatment. The Vietnamese military has dispatched anti chemical warfare troops, but the cause of the accident is unknown.

Vietnam's Qianfeng daily news website reported on the 23rd that the accident occurred in Lishi County, Yongfu Province, about 70 kilometers northwest of the capital Hanoi.

The Taiwan enterprise called Lixin Lishi Co., Ltd. employs about 4200 employees locally, specializing in the production of leather shoes and other products. From 14th to 18th, 110 local employees were poisoned and had to be sent to hospital for treatment.

On the 21st, Lishi leather shoes company, about 1km away from the factory, also had a collective poisoning accident. Several poisoned people also had symptoms of coma, vomiting and fainting. The two companies belong to the same boss and use the same equipment, machines and raw materials.

After the incident, the local government has asked two factories to shut down and dispatched police and other units to investigate the accident.

The Yongfu provincial government held a press conference on the 23rd, and local officials said the patient had recovered. The police investigation failed to find the reason and has been handed over to the Vietnamese military chemical warfare Corps for further inspection and evaluation.

In October, a Hong Kong shoe factory 'golden victory' in Nanding province also suffered from collective poisoning, causing nearly 200 people to be sent to hospital for first aid. After investigation, the military chemical warfare Corps found that some chemical raw materials for shoe making contained organic components, which melted and evaporated into the air. After inhalation, the employees fainted and poisoned.
