Liushahe was born in Chengdu on November 11, 1931 and moved back to Huaishu street, Chengxiang town in 1935. At the age of 4, he began to study ancient Chinese and do classical Chinese. In the spring of 1947, he was admitted to the high school Department of the provincial Chengdu middle school. Like most young people who loved literature and art at that time, his interest quickly turned to new literature. Ba Jin's novels, Lu Xun's essays, Cao Yu's plays, and Ai Qing's, Tian Tian's and Lvyuan's poems all fascinated him. He began to contribute to the newspaper and successively published more than ten short stories, poems, translated poems and essays. On October 1, 1949, the people's Republic of China was established. At this time, he was only eighteen and in full bloom. In that era when everyone was actively engaged in the "torrent of creating history", he was admitted to the Department of agronomy of Sichuan University with the highest score. He had just been enrolled for half a year. He could no longer restrain his enthusiasm and abandoned school to pursue his writer's dream.

In 1950, he served as the supplement editor of West Sichuan farmers' daily. After that, he was transferred to Sichuan Federation of literary and art circles as a creator and editor of Sichuan masses. On January 1, 1957, he proposed and participated in the establishment of the "Star" poetry journal, which was the first official poetry journal in New China. "Stars" was on the market and was once highly praised. It is worth mentioning that Yu Guangzhong, a good friend of Liushahe and another poet best known to readers, officially met readers on the star. Liushahe was the first person to introduce his poems to the mainland.

In the early autumn of 1981, Liushahe finished reading the selected works of the top ten contemporary poets in Taiwan on the train and was full of joy. Yu Guangzhong was the one who shocked him most. Therefore, in the stars in March 1982, Liushahe introduced Yu's poems and selected 20 poems. Then Liushahe successively published two monographs, "Twelve poets in Taiwan" and "poems across the sea", which focused on Yu Guangzhong's poems. Later, he published "100 poems by Yu Guangzhong", which focused on Yu Guangzhong's poems. Today, Yu's poems are popular in the north and south of the river. One person recites thousands of harmony. Originally, they were first 'spread' from Shu.

In 2005, Liushahe welcomed Yu Guangzhong at the airport

In 1996, after retiring from the Sichuan writers' Association, Liushahe lived a simple life, reading and writing every day. Beginning in 2009, Liushahe began to give regular lectures in Chengdu Library, including Song Ci, book of songs, prose and word interpretation.

On September 20, 2019, sponsored by Sichuan Writers Association, the "celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of new China" & middot& lsquo; Honorary certificate of 70 years of literary creation & rsquo; The awarding ceremony and Sichuan literary creation academic seminar was held in Chengdu. Nine Sichuan writers who have been engaged in literary creation for 70 years, including Liushahe, Ma Shitu, Wang Huo, Wang Erbei, wooden axe, Fang He, Bai hang, Liu Lingmeng (DU Gu) and Li Zhi, won the "honorary certificate for 70 years of literary creation" issued by China Writers Association.

In addition to this honor, 2019 is also the 30th year after Liushahe stopped writing poetry. Sichuan people's Publishing House published his Liushahe poetry, and the poet Liushahe returned again.

It is understood that this' poetry collection 'is selected from six poetry collections he once published. They are rural Nocturnes published by Chongqing People's Publishing House in July 1956; Farewell to Mars published by the writers' Publishing House in May 1957; Liushahe poetry anthology published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House in December 1982; "Journey" published by Heilongjiang People's Publishing House in September 1983, "farewell to hometown" published by Sichuan people's Publishing House in November 1983, and "solo" published by Huacheng publishing house in December 1989. These poems integrate the best version of Liushahe poetry, and their contents are selected and recorded by Liushahe's younger brother himself.

The editor of the Sichuan people's society sighed: "there are no new poems in the poetry deposit, which probably means that this book of poetry deposit is the last time we see him standing with poetry."

Liushahe specially designed a bookmark for Liushahe poetry. He asked for the size, length and width of the bookmark. On it were his favorite poems by Dai Wangshu

Liushahe once said, 'I don't believe there are poems everywhere in life, just waiting for you to pick them up. I only believe that feeling comes from the outside and poetry comes from the inside. " Convinced of this, how could his poetry be 'only bones, no meat'? Perhaps he is not perfect, but in the hearts of thousands of readers, he is by no means a 'failed poet'.

He is the eternal poet Liushahe in readers' hearts.
