Mixing industrial alcohol into wedding wine killed 5 and 14 people were sent to hospital
From November 7 to 8, Yan Mou, leader of manpan village group in Menghai County, Yunnan Province, used the self baking wine provided by Yan moubi, a villager from a neighboring village, when holding a wedding banquet for his son. Some people attending the wedding banquet had vomiting, blurred vision and other symptoms after drinking the wine, resulting in 5 deaths and 14 hospitalizations. After investigation, Yan bought 95 degree industrial alcohol online and blended it into the wedding wine, resulting in poisoning.
