The New Zealand Parliament passed the euthanasia bill and a referendum will take effect

According to New Zealand television on November 13, the New Zealand Parliament passed the euthanasia bill that night. The proposal allows adult terminally ill patients who may die within six months to apply for euthanasia. But before the legislation comes into force, the bill needs to be put to a referendum in next year's general election. If the official announcement is passed, it will take effect in 12 months. If rejected by a public vote, the bill will be repealed.
