Five million Japanese crabs have become the highest price known in the world

In the twinkling of an eye, it is the season to taste crabs. At an auction held in Tottori County, Japan on the 7th, a crab was sold at a high price of 5 million yen (about 321000 yuan), breaking the previous Guinness world record.

According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency on the 7th, with the lifting of the fishing ban on the 6th, Japan's Tottori city has ushered in the season of catching crabs again. At the auction held in Tottori port on the 7th, the 'wuhuixing' crab, recognized as the most advanced crab brand in Tottori County, was auctioned for 5 million yen. Local authorities said that the bidding price of crabs is also the highest known price in the world.

According to the Fishery Department of Tottori County, due to the appropriate local climate and good fishery development last year, it is estimated that it will exceed the fishing capacity previously allocated to the county. Since December 10, 2018, the size and number of crabs that can be caught in the county have been limited.

It is reported that in the first auction in 2018, crabs identified as' five glow stars' were auctioned at a high price of 2 million yen (about 128500 yuan), breaking the previous Guinness world record.
