China Railway Shanghai Railway Bureau group revealed that the fare optimization and adjustment of some EMU trains on the southeast coastal railway has generally increased and decreased according to the market supply and demand and passenger flow law, involving more than 400 trains.

The optimization and adjustment mainly involves three high-speed rail lines from Shanghai to Hangzhou, Hangzhou to Ningbo and Ningbo to Shenzhen. Taking the g2343 train from Ningbo to Wenzhou as an example, on November 30, the business seat of the train was 288 yuan, the first-class seat was 154 yuan and the second-class seat was 96 yuan; On December 1, the fare of the car was adjusted to 305 yuan for business seat, 163 yuan for first-class seat and 102 yuan for second-class seat. The prices of some lines have also been reduced. For example, the G59 train from Ningbo to Taizhou currently costs 160 yuan for business seats, 85 yuan for first-class seats and 53 yuan for second-class seats. Since December 1, the prices have been adjusted to 152 yuan for business seats, 81 yuan for first-class seats and 50 yuan for second-class seats.

Since December 1, China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Corporation will optimize and adjust the ticket prices of some high-speed EMU trains on hengliu line and Nanwu section of Nanning Guangzhou line. Among them, hengliu line involves 90 trains, with a maximum discount of 5.5%; Nanwu section of Nanning Guangzhou line involves 100 trains, with a maximum discount of 20%. The railway department said that the implementation of differentiated pricing mechanism for high-speed railway multiple unit trains is conducive to establishing a reasonable price comparison relationship of multiple transportation modes, flexibly adapting to the market and better meeting the diversified travel needs of passengers.

At present, including China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Corporation, Chengdu Bureau Group Corporation, Lanzhou Bureau Group Corporation, Guangzhou Bureau Group Corporation, Nanning Bureau Group Corporation, etc., have released information on the implementation of fare optimization and adjustment for their high-speed EMU trains.
