According to the Cameroonian media 'Journal Du Cameron', the latest communique of the Malian government said that a military camp in northeastern Mali was attacked on Friday (November 1), killing 54 people, including 53 soldiers and one civilian.
The communique also mentioned: "terrorist attacks have caused many injuries and heavy property losses to the national defense and security forces." Mali said it had sent reinforcements to protect the area and pursue the attackers.
No organization has claimed responsibility for Friday's attack.
