The clinical manifestations include foreign body sensation, severe pain, photophobia, tears and eye spasm. Especially at night, I can't sleep. Generally, I can recover after 24 hours.

Emergency measures for electric welding light eye injury

First, close your eyes, apply cold water towel to your eyes, and replace every 20 minutes.

The second step is to use fresh milk (fresh human milk is the best, if not, use fresh milk instead) to drop eyes every 2 hours.

The third step, in order to prevent infection, use chloramphenicol eye drops, erythromycin eye ointment and other eye drops.

It needs to be reminded that fresh milk, eye drops and eye ointment cannot be dripped at the same time, and there should be an interval between them. In general, they will recover within 1-3 days after the onset of the disease, and generally will not cause permanent damage, but they should not be injured by ultraviolet rays for many times or for a long time, so as not to cause chronic blepharitis.

In addition, in addition to the above three points, we need to pay attention to the following points.

1. Drip the boiled human milk or fresh milk into the eyes to relieve pain and protect the eyes. Apply wet and cold towel to eyes and replace every 20 minutes.

2. The eyes should be closed for rest to reduce the stimulation of light and the friction of eyeball rotation. Wearing sunglasses can block out light and make eyes feel comfortable.

3. Add 3-5 drops of 0.1% epinephrine into 10 ml of 0.25% chloramphenicol eye drops, and apply antibiotics or sulfonamide ointment to prevent infection and reduce inflammation.
