The fourth China Africa Art Festival opened in the famous historical and cultural city of Aswan in southern Egypt on the 27th. The opening ceremony was held at the world cultural heritage Philae temple in the afternoon. The little egret folk dance troupe from Xiamen, Fujian Province kicked off the opening ceremony with a collective dance "Spring Dance". In front of the majestic temple building, the actors dressed in exquisite costumes of different nationalities showed the scene of different ethnic minorities in China welcoming the spring with exquisite skills and abundant emotion, causing bursts of cheers and applause from the audience.

Subsequently, art groups from Uganda, Namibia, Algeria, Tunisia, South Africa and other countries also presented distinctive performances to let the audience feel the diversity and appeal of art on the African continent.

According to Lin Naizhen, director of the art center of little egret folk dance troupe, the troupe sent 21 dancers to participate in this China Africa Art Festival. The performance covers the characteristic dances of Tibetan, Mongolian, Uygur, Yi, Dai and other ethnic minorities, so that African audiences can understand Chinese culture through China's excellent dance art.

Shi Yuewen, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt and director of the Chinese cultural center in Cairo, said that China and Africa have very close ties.
