One point short of breaking the record, creating a personal season high
In the 2019-2020 season, the International Skating Federation figure skating Grand Prix held the men's single free skating competition in Canada. The champion of the two Olympic Games and the famous Japanese won the men's single skating champion with almost perfect play. The free skating scored 212.99 points, with a total score of 322.59 points, nearly 60 points ahead of the second place Ruan Nan, and less than one point from the world record of 323.42 points.
