In 2014, there were 2858 competitors from 88 countries and regions participating in the Sochi Winter Olympics, and the scale of Pingchang Winter Olympics was 4 countries and 62 players larger than Sochi, which was the largest scale of previous winter Olympics.
Malaysia, Singapore, Ecuador, Eritrea, Kosovo, Nigeria and other six countries participated in the Winter Olympics for the first time.
