Different disposal measures can be taken according to the site conditions, including the following three cases
First kind
When the liquefied gas cylinder valve is in good condition, the first choice is to close the valve, and the fire will be extinguished when the valve is closed. The situation spread on the Internet that "put out the fire first and then close the valve, otherwise it will backfire and cause explosion" will not happen when the liquefied gas cylinder is on fire. Only when the gas pipeline is on fire, if the valve is closed quickly, will the pressure in the pipeline drop rapidly, and the pressure outside the pipeline is greater than that inside, will the fire be pressed into the pipeline to cause tempering.
When dealing with the fire of gas pipeline, firefighters will first slowly close the pipeline valve to the minimum state, reduce the flame to the minimum, and then close the valve to extinguish the fire. This is to prevent tempering. The cylinder body and mouth of liquefied gas cylinder are small, the pressure is relatively small, there will be no pressure difference, and the pressure in liquefied gas cylinder is greater than that in the outside world.

If the valve of the burning liquefied gas cylinder is damaged, you can not put out the fire.
